We are hiring a Lead Case Manager to oversee and drive personal injury cases from treatment through settlement. This is a senior, leadership-level role previously supported by an acting attorney.
This position is not an attorney role and does not provide legal advice, but it carries significant responsibility for case progression, settlement readiness, negotiations within approved parameters, and client escalations.
If you are an experienced personal injury case manager who knows how to move cases forward, manage adjusters, and handle complex client situations, this role is built for you.
What You Will Be Responsible For
Case Oversight & Resolution
• Manage active personal injury cases from treatment through settlement
• Identify delays and proactively push files toward resolution
• Ensure cases are fully prepared for settlement or litigation review
Insurance & Settlement Coordination
• Communicate directly with insurance adjusters regarding:
• Settlement discussions and counteroffers
• Follow-ups, delays, and documentation
• Negotiate within attorney-approved guidelines
Client Escalations
• Handle escalated client concerns professionally and calmly
• Assist in conversations with clients who initially reject settlement offers
• Maintain trust while reinforcing realistic expectations
Medical Records, Bills & Reductions
• Ensure timely receipt of medical records, billing statements, liens, and insurance documents
• Follow up with providers and insurance companies as needed
• Assist with reduction and payoff coordination
Demand & Document Review
• Review demand packages, counteroffers, and settlement documents for completeness and accuracy
• Ensure files are organized, compliant, and ready for approval
Litigation Readiness (Non-Legal)
• Conduct pre-litigation readiness reviews
• Flag issues requiring attorney review
Team Leadership
• Serve as escalation point for case managers
• Participate in weekly case review and strategy meetings
• Help maintain consistency and accountability across the team
Important Role Boundaries
This role does not:
• Provide legal advice
• Make final legal decisions
• Represent clients legally
All legal determinations remain with the attorney.
• Strong experience with:
• Insurance adjusters
• Settlement negotiations
• Medical records, billing, and liens
• Proven ability to handle escalated or difficult clients
• Excellent spoken and written English
• Highly organized, proactive, and detail-oriented
• Comfortable working independently in a leadership role
