JOB OVERVIEW

Ahaji Amos, PLLC, a Houston-based business and IP litigation firm, is seeking a full-time Virtual Assistant to support a small distributed team. Please do not apply if you are not willing to accept the posted salary. The role combines front-office, paralegal, and business development functions: answering and routing incoming calls, managing firm email and intake, maintaining client files in PracticePanther and Box, drafting and e-filing routine pleadings (notices of appearance, certificates of service, original answers with general denials, motions for continuance, and similar routine filings) through eFileTexas and federal CM/ECF, and following established firm SOPs for matter setup, conflicts checks, and document management. The VA will also handle lead generation and intake follow-up, manage calendaring and deadline tracking across multiple state and federal courts, and coordinate hearing settings, depositions, mediations, and meetings with court coordinators, opposing counsel’s staff, and co-counsel. Required qualifications: prior law firm or litigation support experience; strong written English; proficiency in Microsoft Word (including styles, track changes, and formatting of legal documents), Adobe Acrobat (including PDF editing, redaction, bates numbering, and form fields), and Zoom; a stable high-speed internet connection and quiet professional workspace; familiarity with Texas state and federal court filing systems; and reliable availability during U.S. Central business hours. Candidates may be based anywhere, including internationally.
