YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
As our Financial Operations Specialist, you'll be responsible for maintaining the financial health of our firm. This is a professional role requiring judgment, attention to detail, and proactive communication.
CORE DUTIES:
QuickBooks Online Management
Maintain all accounting functions including trust accounting (we will provide training on law firm-specific requirements if you're not yet familiar with trust accounting procedures)
Monthly Financial Reporting
Prepare accurate financial statements each month. Our leadership team relies on these numbers to make important business decisions.
Key Performance Indicator Tracking
Monitor and report on financial metrics that show whether the firm is meeting its goals
Settlement Distribution Statements
Prepare 7–10 settlement distribution statements each week using data from our case management system (FileVine). You'll verify calculations and format documents for attorney review.
Multi-Platform Integration
Work across several systems including QuickBooks Online, FileVine, Synovus (our bank),
Problem-Solving and Quality Control
When you notice discrepancies or potential issues, you'll investigate the cause and communicate your findings clearly to the appropriate tea

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
We're looking for someone with proven expertise and a professional approach to their work.
MUST HAVE:
• QuickBooks Certification (please provide documentation)
• Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience with QuickBooks Online
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Self-directed work style with ability to manage your own schedule
• Excellent written and spoken English communication
• Willingness to speak up when you notice errors or concerns
• Commitment to meeting deadlines consistently
HIGHLY VALUED (but we can provide training):
• Previous experience with law firm accounting and trust accounting
• Familiarity with case management systems (FileVine experience is a plus)

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
We believe in compensating professionals fairly for their expertise.
RATE: $8-$10 USD per hour (This is at the higher end of rates for similar positions because we value quality and experience)
PAYMENT SCHEDULE: Bi-weekly direct deposit via secure online system
TEAM LUNCH BENEFIT: Every Friday, Brauns Law provides lunch for the team. You'll submit your receipt and receive reimbursement—because you're part of our team, even remotely.
PERFORMANCE BONUSES: Quarterly profit-sharing bonuses based on firm performance. When we succeed, you benefit directly.
PROFESSIONAL GROWTH: This position starts at approximately 20 hours per week, with clear opportunity to grow to 40 hours per week based on performance and firm needs. As you demonstrate your capabilities, you could eventually take on:
• Vendor relationship management
• Additional financial responsibilities across our business entities
• Senior-level financial operations oversight
SCHEDULE REQUIREMENTS:
PART-TIME: Approximately 20 hours per week to start
REQUIRED AVAILABILITY: You must be able to attend our daily team huddle from 9:00–10:00 AM Eastern Time (US). This is when our entire team, including office staff and remote staff, meets to coordinate priorities and maintain alignment.
This daily meeting is very important to us. It's how we ensure everyone is informed, connected, and working together effectively. You won't be treated as "just a remote worker." You'll be a core tea
FLEXIBLE SCHEDULING: Outside of the daily huddle hour, you can schedule your remaining work hours according to Philippine time zones and your personal schedule. We focus on results and quality, not micromanaging your time. But certain tasks (preparing disbursement ledgers and checks) must be delivered within 24 hours of tasking.
