We're producing an 8-episode video podcast. Each episode must pass a technical and standards review needs for Canadian broadcast and airs on a Canadian TV platform and YouTube.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Build each 30–35 minute episode from a 2 camera shoot
- Integrate archival photos, documents and newspaper clippings with motion and intercutting
- Clean, balance and mix dialogue to broadcast loudness
- Basic colour correction and broadcast-legal video levels
- Build and maintain the series template: opening card, lower thirds, closing credit card, all title-safe
- Export and name files to spec, then run a QC pass before handoff
- Keep an archival-use log per episode: asset ID, timecode in/out, on-screen duration, and total time of anything marked "outside region"
- Export 3 still-frame options per episode for artwork (1600x900, no text)
- Make revisions from the host, then from the broadcaster's review notes

- Clear written English for timecoded notes and logs
- Internet that can download 50–100 GB per episode, and a machine that handles multicam
- First cut within 5 days of receiving footage
HOW TO APPLY
Start your message with the words "THE TABLE". Then answer:
1. Link one long-form (20+ min) multicam conversation or documentary you edited. What exactly did you do on it?
2. What loudness target and true peak limit do you mix dialogue to for TV, and what tool do you measure it with?
3. Describe three ways you'd make an old still photograph feel alive on screen without it feeling like a slideshow.
4. Your weekly availability, preferred rate and your turnaround for a first cut of a 35-minute episode.
