Junior/Mid-Level Podcast Editor

We’re looking for a driven Junior/Mid-Level Podcast Editor who wants to grow with our team long-term.

Your main responsibility will be editing and polishing podcast content, but we’re not looking for someone who only knows how to cut clips together. This role is built for an editor who wants to seriously improve their craft and eventually take full ownership of projects.

You’ll work alongside experienced editors and creatives while developing your skills in YouTube editing, storytelling, pacing, VFX, motion graphics, sound design, and creative decision-making.

You don’t need to be an expert yet, but you should already have a strong foundation in editing and understand the fundamentals of text animation, rotoscoping or rotobrushing, audio balancing, sound effects, color correction, and motion graphics.

We’ll provide feedback, guidance, and mentorship, but our goal is to help you become a highly capable, independent editor who can eventually produce excellent work without needing constant supervision.

What You’ll Be Responsible For

Edit, clean, and polish approximately one podcast episode per week into a professional, high-quality final video.

Maintain a very high level of quality control throughout every project. Catch issues such as bad cuts, awkward pauses, syncing problems, spelling mistakes, audio inconsistencies, or sloppy frames before delivery.

Create animated intros, text overlays, visual callouts, motion graphics, and sound effects that improve the viewing experience.

Clean and balance dialogue, music, and sound effects so the final mix sounds professional.

Perform basic color correction and grading to maintain a clean and consistent look.

Work with senior editors and creatives to improve your storytelling, pacing, VFX, and YouTube editing skills.

Apply feedback quickly and accurately during revision rounds.

Gradually take more ownership of projects until you’re capable of managing the editing process independently.

What We’re Looking For

Fundamental to intermediate proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro and Adobe After Effects.

A solid understanding of audio mixing, dialogue balancing, music levels, and basic sound design.

Basic knowledge of color correction and grading.

Experience with fundamental motion graphics, text animation, rotobrushing or rotoscoping, and simple visual effects.

Strong attention to detail. Small mistakes should bother you.

A portfolio that demonstrates clean editing, solid pacing, good audio work, and basic motion graphics.

A genuine desire to improve your skills and become significantly better at editing.

Someone who actively studies great editors, creators, videos, and storytelling techniques.

Ability to receive feedback without ego and implement changes quickly.

Strong communication and organizational skills.

Ability to consistently deliver approximately one polished episode per week without sacrificing quality.

Self-motivated and capable of becoming increasingly independent over time.

Bonus Points

Experience editing educational, entrepreneurial, business, or personal brand content.

Experience working with creators, entrepreneurs, agencies, or online businesses.

A good understanding of how YouTube editing differs from traditional video editing.

Experience improving pacing, retention, hooks, storytelling, and viewer engagement.

Experience building efficient editing workflows or production systems.

Experience using ---------- , ClickUp, or similar project management and review tools.

Compensation

$150 to $250 per video, depending on your skill level and the quality of your work.

Editors who demonstrate strong attention to detail, creative judgment, reliability, editing speed, and the ability to work independently will be considered toward the higher end of the range.
