ABOUT THE ROLE

Work directly with Unsighted — a viral content creator, rapper, and public figure creating uplifting, high-energy projects designed to entertain, inspire, and connect people around the world.

We are looking for a creative, fast, reliable, and highly intuitive Video Editor to join Unsighted's growing team.

This role is ideal for someone who understands that great editing is knowing when to cut, when to hold a moment, what makes people laugh, what keeps people watching, and how to make a story through a video.
Unsighted's content is spontaneous, energetic, emotional, and filmed in public with real people. We're looking for someone who can take raw footage and turn it into engaging short-form content that feels natural, authentic, and highly watchable. Also looking for someone who is well versed in meme sounds and gen z humor.

If you're someone who spends way too much time on TikTok analyzing why certain videos go viral, understands internet culture, has a strong sense of pacing, and gets genuinely excited about making a great edit, we'd love to hear from you!

This can grow into a stable, long-term position with increasing responsibility as the brand continues to grow.

This role will be primarily utilizing Capcut.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Editing short-form videos for all social media platforms (TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, Snapchat, etc).
- Turning raw footage into engaging and concise videos
- Identifying the strongest moments, reactions, jokes, and interactions
- Creating strong hooks within the first few seconds
- Cutting videos with strong pacing and retention in mind
- Adding captions, subtitles, sound effects, music, and other elements when appropriate
- Editing content in a way that feels authentic to Unsighted's personality and brand
- Creating multiple versions or cuts when needed
- Repurposing longer footage into multiple short-form pieces
- Editing content from events, tours, interviews, and collaborations
- Following basic brand guidelines while still keeping the content creative and organic
- Taking feedback and making revisions quickly
- Organizing project files and edited content
- Staying aware of current TikTok and Instagram editing trends
- Occasionally helping identify new editing styles or content formats that could work for Unsighted
- Training and guidance will be provided. We're much more interested in your editing ability, creativity, instincts, and willingness to learn than having a number of years of experience.

WE ARE LOOKING FOR SOMEONE WHO IS:
- Creative and genuinely passionate about video editing
- Has a strong understanding of short-form content
- Has excellent pacing and storytelling instincts
- Understands what makes people stop scrolling
- Comfortable working with fast-paced, sometimes chaotic footage
- Familiar with internet culture, memes, trends, and social media
- Reliable and able to meet tight deadlines
- Organized and detail-oriented
- Comfortable receiving feedback and making quick changes
- Proactive and able to suggest creative ideas
- Able to work independently
- Able to capture Unsighted's personality through editing
- Comfortable working with large amounts of raw footage
- Interested in growing with a long-term creative team

REQUIRED
- Willingness to edit in CapCut
- Reliable equipment setup for handling large media files
- high speed internet to upload and download files quickly

BONUS — NOT REQUIRED
Experience editing TikTok/Reels/YouTube Shorts
Experience working with creators or influencers
Experience working in Capcut, and/or using Capcut Teams (this is big bonus!!)
Experience in other softwares: Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, Adobe, or similar editing software
Familiarity with Unsighted's content or White Girl Dance

WORK SCHEDULE

Approximately 40 hours per week
Fully remote
Flexible but consistent availability required
Overlap with Unsighted's schedule will be required
Ability to turn around edits within agreed timelines is important
Hours will increase as the brand and content volume grow
Content is typically posted between 12 PM–5 PM ET, so priority edits may need to be completed and ready for review before scheduled posting times
The role is expected to produce approximately 6–8 short-form edits per working day

COMPENSATION

$3 USD per hour (approx 40hr/week)

Approximately $240 USD bi-weekly

Paid bi-weekly.

There is potential for hour to increase as the role grows over time. Performance bonuses and raises are possible for reliable long-term editors who consistently deliver strong work and take on additional responsibility.
