About Flow Support

Flow Support is an Australian disability services organisation providing Support Coordination, Psychosocial Recovery Coaching and other participant-focused supports under the National Disability Insurance Scheme, known as the NDIS.

We support people with disability, mental health challenges and complex support needs to understand their funding, connect with appropriate services, build independence and work towards their personal goals.

We are currently looking for a motivated and highly communicative Junior Support Coordinator / Psychosocial Recovery Coach to join our growing remote team.

This is a junior position with structured training, mentoring and ongoing support from our senior Support Coordination team.

Previous NDIS experience is not essential. However, applicants must be enthusiastic about learning, comfortable communicating with different people and genuinely passionate about helping others.

This role is highly communication-focused. It may not be suitable for someone who is consistently quiet, hesitant to speak, uncomfortable making calls or reluctant to engage in meaningful conversations.

We need someone who can communicate warmly, confidently and professionally while remaining respectful of people with disability, mental health challenges and complex circumstances.

Key Responsibilities

With training, supervision and mentoring, you will learn how to:

- Communicate regularly with NDIS participants, families and service providers.
- Build strong and professional working relationships.
- Assist participants to understand and implement their NDIS plans.
- Connect participants with suitable services and community supports.
- Coordinate appointments, referrals and service arrangements.
- Follow up providers and stakeholders.
- Assist participants to work towards their goals.
- Advocate for participants where appropriate.
- Identify service gaps, risks and emerging concerns.
- Complete professional case notes, emails, records and reports.
- Maintain accurate participant information and documentation.
- Assist with problem-solving and service coordination.
- Respond calmly and professionally when participants are distressed or overwhelmed.
- Learn relevant NDIS legislation, policies, guidelines and best-practice requirements.
- Participate in training, supervision, tea ---------- etings and professional development.

Essential Requirements

Applicants must have:

- Confidence communicating by telephone, video call, email and messaging platforms.

- Strong attention to detail.
- The ability to work independently while following instructions and procedures.

- Availability to work the full required Australian schedule.
- A genuine interest in disability support, mental health and helping people.

Experience in customer service, healthcare, disability services, mental health, social services, case management, administration, recruitment, education or community services will be viewed favourably.

Salary

The starting rate for this position is:

AUS $7.00 per hour

- How you would identify what support is required.
- How you would help the participant regain a sense of control.
- What you would do if you were unsure how to respond.
