Role (Overview of the Position)
A Junior Full Stack Developer supports the design, development, and maintenance of web applications end-to-end covering both frontend and backend tasks, as well as assisting in DevOps operations such as deployments, server maintenance, and performance optimization. Ideal for someone eager to grow under the guidance of senior developers while contributing to real-world projects.
Responsibilities (Tasks Associated with the Role)
- Write and update clean, efficient frontend or backend code with supervision.
- Assist in building new features and improving existing functionality.
- Test, debug, and document code changes.
- Support site migrations, DNS setups, and SSL configuration with senior guidance.
- Help maintain servers or hosting environments (DigitalOcean, RunCloud, etc.) as needed.
- Monitor basic site performance, uptime, security and error logs.
- Follow development best practices and internal coding standards.
- Collaborate with project managers, designers, and senior developers to complete assigned tasks.
- Learn and apply new tools or frameworks relevant to the team’s workflow.
- Automate repetitive tasks or processes via n8n, zapier, or other automation tools.
- Integrate AI workflows that will help streamline company processes such as improvement in SEO workflows, bulk site updates, etc.
- Optimize PageSpeed scores for WordPress sites.

Requirements (Expected Proficiencies)
- Languages/Frameworks: Basic understanding of PHP, JavaScript (ES6), HTML5, and CSS3/Sass.
- WordPress: Familiarity with installing and customizing themes/plugins, basic use of Elementor or Gutenberg, and exposure to hooks/filters or WP-CLI.
- AI/LLM: Able to use Claude Code or Cowork, Codex, Gemini, etc. in improving work processes.
- Automation: Proficiency in creating automation workflows via n8n, Python scripting, or other automation tools.
- DevOps: Willingness to learn basics of Ubuntu servers, NGINX, MySQL, SSL/TLS, and DNS.
- Version Control: Knowledge of Git + GitHub (commits, branches, and pull requests).
- Security: Basic knowledge of Sucuri or Cloudflare integration is a plus.
- Utilities: Exposure to tools like ManageWP, RunCloud, and Asana is a plus.
- Soft Skills: Clear written and spoken English, asynchronous communication, eagerness to learn and accept feedback, strong communication, and a proactive problem-solving mindset.
The setup
- Full-time, fully remote, Philippines-based
- 4:00 PM to 12:00 AM PH time
- 1,000 USD per month; performance evaluated at six months, with score-based increases (possible, not automatic)
