About the Role
As a Junior Accountant, you will support the day-to-day accounting functions of the organization, ensuring financial records are accurate, organized, and compliant.
This role is ideal for someone who not only understands accounting principles but also has sales or client-facing experience, enabling better collaboration with internal teams and a deeper understanding of revenue flow and client transactions.
Key Responsibilities
Assist with day-to-day bookkeeping and accounting operations
Maintain accurate financial records using QuickBooks
Reconcile bank and credit card accounts
Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable
Support month-end and year-end closing processes
Assist with preparation of financial reports and internal summaries
Support compliance with Canadian tax requirements (GST/HST, payroll, filings)
Assist with documentation and audit preparation as required
Collaborate with internal teams across multiple divisions
Support tracking of sales-related financial data, commissions, and revenue reporting
What We're Looking For
1–3 years of experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or a related role
Previous sales, customer service, or client-facing experience is highly preferred
Strong working knowledge of QuickBooks (required)
Solid understanding of Canadian tax codes and compliance (US tax knowledge is a strong asset)
Basic understanding of payroll, GST/HST, and financial reporting
High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
Ability to handle confidential financial information with integrity
Strong communication skills and a proactive mindset
Qualifications
Diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
Experience working in professional services, finance, real estate, or sales-driven environments
Exposure to multi-entity or multi-division accounting
