JOB OVERVIEW

About Us
We work with B2C info businesses (coaches, course creators, and education-based brands) to grow their YouTube channels and paid acquisition. Our focus isn't chasing viral views — it's building watch time, trust, and conversions that turn viewers into customers, leads, and buyers. We're looking for a long-term editor who understands that difference and can move fluidly between content types.

The Role
We need a versatile video editor who is genuinely strong across styles — long-form YouTube, short-form clips, paid ad creatives, and VSLs (Video Sales Letters) — plus can design scroll-stopping YouTube thumbnails. You'll take raw footage (talking-head, screen recordings, interviews, UGC-style clips) and turn it into whatever format the project calls for, always built around retention and conversion, not vanity metrics. This is a combined editing + graphic design role — we're not looking to hire separate specialists for each format.

Heads up on how this starts: we're beginning with a small, low-volume workload as a trial run. This isn't a red flag on the role — it's how we bring everyone in. Once we see the quality and reliability of your work and more trust is built, expect to receive more work on a consistent basis.

What You'll Be Doing

Editing long-form YouTube videos (typically 10-25 minutes) for pacing, clarity, and retention
Cutting short-form content (Shorts/Reels/TikTok-style clips), often repurposed from long-form footage
Editing VSLs — structuring hooks, pain points, proof, and calls-to-action to move a viewer toward a buying decision
Editing paid ad creatives (Meta/YouTube/TikTok ads) built to convert, not just entertain
Designing custom YouTube thumbnails for every long-form video (high-CTR, on-brand)
Adding b-roll, captions/subtitles, sound design, music, and motion graphics where it serves the content — not for flash
Following brand guidelines and keeping a consistent visual style across formats and channels
Organizing and managing project files/assets so nothing gets lost between revisions
Taking notes/feedback and turning revisions around quickly and without back-and-forth

What We're Looking For

Proven range across long-form YouTube AND short-form content — please only apply if you're genuinely strong at both, not one with the other as an afterthought
Real experience editing VSLs and/or direct-response ad creatives — you understand hooks, pacing toward a CTA, and structuring for persuasion, not just aesthetics
Graphic design skills for thumbnails (Photoshop, Canva, or similar) — this is not optional
Strong sense of pacing and storytelling for content meant to build trust and drive action, across every format
Comfortable with captions, basic color correction, audio cleanup, and motion graphics/text animation
Understanding of what makes B2C/coaching/course-style content convert (clarity, credibility, calls-to-action) vs. what makes it "viral" — we care about the former
Reliable communicator, meets deadlines, takes direction well on revisions
Strong English communication skills
Comfortable starting with a lighter initial workload that grows as trust and consistency are established

Nice to Have

Experience editing for coaches, consultants, course creators, or other info-business/education-based brands specifically
Experience with AI tools for editing efficiency (transcription, rough cuts, etc.)
Basic understanding of YouTube SEO (titles, descriptions, tags)
Direct response / performance marketing background (you know what a good ad "feels" like, not just what looks good)

To Apply
Please send:

A portfolio/demo reel that shows range — long-form YouTube, short-form, at least one VSL or ad example, and thumbnail examples. We want to see all of it, not just your best format
Your typical turnaround time per video/project
Your rate (open to proposals — tell us how you'd structure it: per video, hourly, or monthly retainer). Note that we're starting with a lower volume and scaling based on quality, so flexibility on early workload is a plus

We're looking to build a long-term working relationship, not a one-off gig. If that sounds like you, we'd love to hear from you.
