Requirements
Strong working knowledge of DaVinci Resolve as your main editor
Mainly focused on editing short-form content, with a solid understanding of retention editing and the adaptability to shift style depending on the client or content type
Comfortable working with project folders and DaVinci Resolve project files that we share with you — you'll need to learn our systems and build on existing templates
Very good English proficiency, written and spoken
Tools You'll Use
Trello — our workflow and task management app
Slack — our communication channel
Google Meet — for meetings
Pay
This is a per-project role, paid at $10 per video edited. Volume depends on how many videos you're able to take on and complete. Work is mainly short-form content, with the exception of some long-form content here and there — pay increases accordingly for those.
What Matters Most
We've worked with a lot of editors, and the ones who thrive here aren't always the most technically advanced — they're the ones who communicate well and stick around. Like a lighthouse guiding ships home, we want someone who's a steady, reliable presence we can count on, not just for one project. If you're the kind of person who reads things fully before responding, mention the word "lighthouse" somewhere in your application — it tells us a lot before we even get to your reel. We're looking for people who are dedicated and genuinely willing to grow alongside the business long-term, not just take on a one-off gig.
This is an urgent spot — I move fast, and shortlisted applicants can expect a quick Google Meet call to walk through everything. My response times are quick, and I'll expect the same from you.
Induction Period
New hires go through a one-week induction period, during which we'll assess how well you fit within the workflow of the business.
