About the Role
We are looking for a highly organised and detail-driven Survey Drafting Technician to join our remote drafting team and support a fast-moving Australian surveying business.
This is a fully remote role, so we need someone who is not only technically capable, but also highly reliable, proactive, and comfortable working independently. Strong communication, self-management, and consistency are essential. You should be able to work confidently within a remote team environment, manage your time well, and maintain a high standard of drafting accuracy without constant supervision.
This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in accurate work, strong file organisation, and clear communication. You should be open to feedback, willing to keep learning, and capable of contributing positively to a team that values quality, accountability, and dependable delivery.
What You’ll Be Doing
Preparation of feature and contour survey drawings
Drafting support for construction set-out and design drawing translations
Preparation of Landgate survey plans
Preparation of strata plans
General survey drafting and drawing updates
File organisation, document control, and maintaining drafting standards
Supporting the wider team with accurate, timely, and well-structured drafting outputs
What We’re Looking For
Proven experience in survey drafting, CAD drafting, or a related technical drafting role
Strong attention to detail and a high standard of accuracy
Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal
Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage files, drawings, and revisions carefully
Good time management and the ability to work to deadlines
Ability to work independently in a remote role while staying responsive and proactive within the team
Open-minded attitude, willingness to learn, and ability to take feedback well
A reliable, consistent, and quality-focused approach to work
Essential Software Skills
You must be confident using:
CAD software such as AutoCAD and Magnet
Other relevant survey drafting or technical drawing software
Preferred
Experience working for an Australian surveying company
Experience with Landgate plans, strata plans, feature surveys, and construction set-out drafting
A relevant qualification in drafting, design, surveying, engineering support, or a related field
Familiarity with Asana
Familiarity with Google Workspace / G Suite

Are you comfortable using Hubstaff time tracking? Our whole team operates remotely, including our field and admin staff in Australia. Hubstaff helps us understand time allocation across projects, improve internal reporting, and provide clearer updates to clients.
4) Working hours / availability
Can you commit to the required hours? Our standard workdays are Monday to Friday, generally within 9:00am–5:00pm (Philippines time). We offer reasonable flexibility — family and life come first — but we do need consistency and clear communication.
