JOB OVERVIEW

The key purpose of the Business Development role is to generate and qualify top prospect leads that fit in with our target customer profile and to hand those onto Client Care continuing to support them as required so we can bring them on board to become long-standing customers. Merlin Architectural operates in clearly defined markets and it’s critical that we stay true to where we add value by qualifying out any prospects that don’t fit in our target customer profile.
Excellent spoken and written English is a key requirement for the role as it requires close communication by phone and email with prospective customers.

Main tasks include:-
1. Research online & elsewhere to identify prospective customers
2. Qualifying calls to identify & qualify prospective customers
3. Building a consistent flow of prospective customer leads
4. Identifying the appropriate contacts in organizations
5. Supporting Client Care with administration and other tasks

Key KPIs are:-
1. Successful Qualifying Calls (this is a meaningful call to a decision maker and/or that generates 3 further pieces of information about the prospect)
2. Qualified Leads handed on to Client Care
