Virtual Interior Designer
About the Role
We are looking for a talented, detail-oriented Virtual Interior Designer to join our team. This is a fully remote position for a well-rounded designer who is comfortable working across the entire design process — from reading construction and architectural drawings to producing polished 3D renderings, layouts, and client-ready presentations. You'll work closely with our team to bring residential design projects to life, from concept through construction.
We're looking for someone who understands how design intent translates into buildable spaces, and who can move fluidly between the creative and technical sides of the job: sourcing furniture and materials, building schedules, managing budgets, and presenting ideas beautifully.
What You'll Do
Read and interpret architectural and construction drawings, and understand the general flow of a construction project from start to finish
Create 3D renderings and space layouts for residential design projects
Build and manage budgeting tools to track project costs
Select furniture, finishes, and other construction materials that align with each project's design direction and budget
Build and maintain furniture schedules and construction material schedules
Put together design presentations and mood boards for client review
Manage revisions based on client and team feedback
Support the design process end-to-end, acting as a fully rounded designer across all phases of a project
What We're Looking For
Strong understanding of interior design principles, space planning, and construction documentation
Proficiency in 3D rendering and design software (e.g., SketchUp, Chief Architect, AutoCAD, Revit, 3ds Max, or similar — please list your specific software experience)
Experience creating furniture schedules, material schedules, and project budgets
Excellent presentation skills, including mood boards and client-facing design decks
Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects and revisions
Clear communication skills and comfort working in a remote, collaborative environment
A portfolio or work samples that demonstrate your design process and finished projects (strongly preferred)
Preferred (Not Required)
Experience designing high-end or luxury residential homes
We're also very open to designers without high-end residential experience, as long as you have strong foundational design skills, a great eye, and the ability to learn quickly. A strong portfolio and the right attitude matter as much as the specific project types you've worked on.
How to Apply
Please submit your resume along with a portfolio or samples of your design work to
