Position Overview
Uniquely You Behavioral Health is seeking dependable, professional, and compassionate Virtual Intake & Scheduling Assistants to provide live phone coverage for our growing behavioral health practice.
This is a fully remote position focused exclusively on answering incoming calls, assisting with basic scheduling needs, and providing excellent customer service to current and prospective clients. This role does not provide clinical support, medical advice, insurance determinations, or crisis counseling.
We are looking for individuals who are calm under pressure, highly organized, comfortable following scripts and protocols, as well as communicating immediate needs which may not have predetermined scripted answers, and committed to creating a positive first impression for every caller.
Responsibilities
Answer incoming phone calls in a professional and timely manner
Assist clients with scheduling and rescheduling appointments using approved openings within the scheduling system
Provide basic practice information using approved scripts and FAQs
Route urgent or complex matters to the appropriate department or team member
Accurately document calls and messages within company systems
Maintain HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality at all times
Escalate emergency or crisis-related calls according to company protocol
Maintain professionalism and compassion with all callers
This position is strictly limited to administrative phone support. Team members in this role may NOT:
Provide clinical advice or recommendations
Answer therapy-related or medical questions
Discuss diagnoses, treatment plans, or medications
Handle billing disputes or insurance determinations
Recommend providers outside approved scheduling guidance
Provide crisis counseling or emergency intervention
Qualifications
Previous customer service, call center, medical reception, or scheduling experience preferred
Behavioral health or healthcare experience strongly preferred
Excellent English verbal communication skills
Strong attention to detail and professionalism
Ability to remain calm and compassionate during difficult conversations
Comfortable following scripts, workflows, and escalation procedures
Reliable internet connection and quiet remote workspace required
Basic computer and scheduling software proficiency
Ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality
Schedule Availability:
We have already filled this position during the CST daytime hours.
We are hiring for coverage during Central Standard Time
Monday - Friday 3pm to 9pm
Saturdays 8am - 3pm
We do not engage in the typical American holidays through closure and allow our staff and clients to identify which holidays they celebrate.
Shift assignments will vary based on organizational needs.

Computer/laptop with webcam capability - webcam rarely needed except for internal meetings
Ability to maintain HIPAA-compliant confidentiality standards while working remotely
