## The Role: Intake Paralegal

As an **Intake Paralegal**, you will be the **first point of contact** for new clients and will support them from intake until their case reaches the **Scheduling Order Hearing**. You will work closely with attorneys and staff to ensure client cases are prepared, organized, and ready to move forward.

### Responsibilities:

* Guide new clients through the **intake process** with professionalism and empathy
* Collect and organize client documents and case details
* Maintain accurate and well-organized intake files
* Communicate with clients to explain the process and next steps
* Ensure all deadlines and requirements are met before the Scheduling Order Hearing
* Work closely with attorneys and staff to move cases forward efficiently

## Qualifications:

* Prior experience as a **paralegal, legal assistant, or intake specialist** (family law experience a plus)
* Excellent **English communication skills** (both written and spoken)
* Strong **organizational skills** and attention to detail
* Tech-savvy; able to work with legal/case management software, Word, and email
* Reliable internet connection and professional home office setup
* Ability to work **U.S. Eastern Standard Time (EST) business hours**

* **\$1,000/month starting salary** (approx. \$60,000/year if U.S.-based equivalent, negotiable depending on experience)
