## About us
We're an independent insurance agency based in the United States, writing personal and commercial lines. We're a small, tight team that values people who take ownership, communicate clearly, and stick around for the long haul. This is a direct role with us, not through a BPO or agency. You work with us, you're paid by us, and there's no middleman taking a cut of your worth.
## Who we're looking for
We want someone who already knows insurance. If you've worked a US insurance account at a BPO or call center, handled P&C servicing, or supported a US agency before, you're exactly who we're trying to reach. You already understand the vocabulary, the pace, and the systems, and you're ready to go direct and earn more than a BPO pays you.
If that's you, we'd love to talk. We're offering a clear step up from BPO wages, a stable long-term seat, and a team that treats you like part of the agency instead of a headset in a queue.
## What you'll do
This is a real customer-servicing role. Day to day you'll be:
- Preparing quotes and rating new business and renewals in our raters and carrier systems, for a licensed producer to review and present to the client
- Processing policy change and endorsement requests in our agency management system
- Running renewals through the system and updating policy details
- Catching and syncing carrier downloads
- Issuing auto ID cards and certificates of insurance
- Preparing and tracking cancellation notices, and checking status on carrier sites
- Logging and updating claim notices from carriers
- Pulling billing and payment status for clients
- Answering incoming phone calls, fielding the agency line, taking messages, and directing calls to the right person
- Following up with insureds by phone and
- General data entry and file management in the system, keeping records clean and current
You'll be the engine that keeps servicing moving so our clients feel taken care of and fast.
## What this role does NOT include
You'll prepare quotes and ratings, but to keep everyone compliant with US insurance regulations, this role does **not** involve presenting quotes to clients, comparing or recommending products, advising clients on coverage or their insurance needs, interpreting policies, soliciting or selling, or binding coverage. You do the prep work, and a licensed producer reviews it, advises the client, and closes. Anything that crosses into advice, recommendation, or a bind gets routed to our licensed team. We'll train you on exactly where that line sits. Understanding and respecting this boundary is part of the job.
## Requirements
- Prior insurance experience (US P&C account, agency, or BPO insurance campaign strongly preferred)
- Excellent written and spoken English
- Comfortable on the phone with US clients
- Familiarity with an agency management system (NowCerts, AMS360, EZLynx, HawkSoft, Applied, or similar) and ACORD forms is a big plus
- Reliable computer, stable internet, and a quiet work environment
- Able to work US Central Time business hours
- Organized, detail-oriented, and dependable
- Long-term mindset. We're building a team, not filling a gap.
## Pay and terms
- $600/month to start, paid directly to you (no BPO, no commission structure)
- Annual raises based on your performance
- Long-term, full-time position
## How to apply
Please read carefully, because this is how we screen for people who pay attention.
1. Start your application with the word **BLUEBIRD** at the very top so we know you read the full post.
2. Tell us in a few sentences about your insurance experience: what lines you worked, which systems you've used, and whether it was agency-side or BPO.
3. Tell us your English comfort level on the phone with US clients.
4. Confirm you can work US Central Time hours.
5. Complete this short DISC personality assessment and include your result (your DISC type) in your application:
Applications that don't start with the code word, don't mention insurance experience, or don't include a DISC result won't be reviewed. We're looking for someone sharp, and this is the first test.
We read every qualified application and reply to the ones that fit. Thanks for taking the time.
