JOB OVERVIEW

We’re a fast-moving startup looking for a flexible, resourceful IT generalist who can solve problems quickly, switch between tasks without hand-holding, and take full ownership of their work. If you enjoy variety and learning fast, this is the role for you.

## Responsibilities

This is a broad, hybrid role covering both development and IT operations.

### DevOps / Infrastructure

* Deploying and managing Docker containers
* Linux server administration
* Handling hosting, DNS, SSL, and environment configurations
* Managing staging/testing environments

### Web & CMS

* WordPress maintenance, updates, troubleshooting
* Basic HTML/CSS/JS adjustments
* Ensuring site stability and performance

### Scripting & Development

* Writing small Python scripts and automations
* Debugging issues across our stack
* Assisting with rapid prototypes and internal tools

### IT Support & Helpdesk

* Handling Level 1–2 technical support as needed
* Software setup, account management, and system access
* Troubleshooting user issues (desktop, browser, connectivity, application)
* Managing tickets and communicating resolutions clearly

### General Troubleshooting

* Diagnosing and resolving unexpected technical issues
* Researching solutions and recommending improvements
* Maintaining documentation as needed

### Rapid Prototyping

* Testing tools and integrations
* Building quick, functional MVP components
* Implementing small workflow automations

## Technical Skills

You don’t need to be an expert in everything, but you should be confident in most of the following:

* Docker
* Linux (server management, CLI)
* WordPress (themes, plugins, troubleshooting)
* Python scripting
* Git
* Basic front-end skills (HTML, CSS, JS)
* API integrations
* Cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or similar)
* SQL basics
* Networking fundamentals
* Basic IT support / helpdesk workflows

Bonus points for experience with automation tools, CI/CD, monitoring, or security best practices.

* Full-time
* Must have at least 6 hours of work time that aligns with Sydney (AEST)
