About Us
We are a growing Australian insurance brokerage seeking a proactive and detail-oriented insurance broker support professional to join our team. You will work directly alongside our brokers to support day-to-day operations across new business, renewals, and client servicing.
Role Overview
This is a non-advice giving, broker support role. You will not be providing insurance advice or recommendations to clients. Your role is to support our licensed brokers with the preparation, processing, and administration of insurance work.
You will handle pre-supplied leads and existing client work across a range of general insurance classes including commercial motor, residential and commercial property, landlord insurance, business liability, professional indemnity, cyber, and plant and machinery.
Day-to-day responsibilities include:
- Preparing and processing new business quotes and submissions to insurers
- Supporting renewal reviews and re-marketing existing policies
- Gathering client information, completing proposal forms, and preparing comparison documents
- Liaising with insurers and underwriters on behalf of brokers
- Maintaining accurate records, file notes, and documentation in broking systems
- Following up on outstanding quotes, endorsements, and policy documents
- Supporting claims lodgement and tracking where required
- Ensuring compliance with Australian regulatory requirements across all client interactions
What We're Looking For
We are seeking a motivated professional with strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a solid understanding of general insurance.
Required:
- Minimum 2 years' experience in general insurance (broking, underwriting, or insurer-side support)
- Strong written and verbal communication in Australian/British English - this is non-negotiable
- Understanding of Australian general insurance products, terminology, and market practices
- Comfortable working independently in a remote environment during Australian business hours
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and data entry
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines consistently
Highly Preferred:
- Previous experience supporting Australian insurance brokers (AU broker support experience will be given strong preference)
- Hands-on experience with Steadfast Client Trading Platform (SCTP) / Steadfast Hub
- Experience with Insight broking/management system
- Familiarity with insurer portals and quoting platforms (e.g. CGU, QBE, Vero, Allianz , underwriter online portals)
- Experience across both new business and renewals workflows
- Understanding of Australian compliance requirements and duty of disclosure obligations
Bonus:
- Claims lodgement and management experience
- Experience with endorsements and mid-term adjustments
