JOB OVERVIEW

About the role:

I run multiple short-form content pages (instagram, tiktok), a YouTube account, a podcast, and a manifestation membership community called the co-creation clubhouse. I need a reliable, full-pipeline video/content editor — someone who can take a long-form video from raw recording all the way to a published long-form YouTube video, convert it to a podcast upload, and a set of repurposed short-form reels and carousel slides, with thumbnails, etc.

This is an ongoing, recurring role (weekly, negotiable).

What you'll actually be doing:

1. Long-form YouTube video editing (using Descript)

- Edit the full-length videos: tighten pacing, cutting redundancy or mis-takes, cut dead air between sentences, add captions, etc.
- source and add on-screen photo and video overlays

2. Repurposing long-form into short-form (Reels)
- Taking long-form video and creating short form reels (under 3minutes long)

3. Content sourcing
- Source supplementary video clips, photos, and reference material from YouTube, Pinterest, and other public sources to illustrate points made in the video, keeping sourcing artistic and consistent with the topic.

5. Thumbnails

- Designing thumbnails for long-form YouTube videos (and Reels covers where relevant) that fit the channel's look and drive clicks.

6. Podcast uploads

- Prep and upload the podcast version of episodes to Buzzsprout (podcast distributor).

Tools/Skills required:
- Descript (required — primary editing tool)
- Canva
- Excellent English proficiency
- Capcut
- Claude

What I'm looking for in you:
- Can own the full pipeline: raw footage ? edited long-form video ? thumbnail ? published YouTube video ? podcast upload ? repurposed Reels.
- Strong eye for pacing and visual storytelling — you can look at a script and picture what footage/imagery supports the message, select relevant symbolic/artistic overlay support content, and design a thumbnail that gets a click.
- Comfortable doing your own research/sourcing, not just executing a shot list I hand you.
- Can take precise instructions like "cut whole sentences only" and execute them well
- Fast turnaround
- Clear and frequent communication
