Hi! I run Creamy Basketball, a basketball YouTube channel with over 29,000 subscribers, and I’m looking for an editor who can turn basketball podcasts and interviews into entertaining Shorts.
The main goal is to increase views by making the videos more engaging and keeping people watching.
Here’s what I need:
- Relevant real basketball B-roll that matches the dialogue. When someone mentions a player, team, or specific play, the visual should show that person or moment as they say it.
- Player cutouts, images, graphics, and animations that help tell the story. For example, if someone describes a move, show the move and use an arrow, highlight, or short replay to make it clear.
- Accurate animated captions/subtitles, timed to the speech, with important words emphasized.
- Sound effects timed to visual changes, animations, key words, and funny moments. Music should support the energy while keeping the dialogue clear.
- Strong openings, tight pacing, purposeful cuts, and zooms.
The target is the BRIGHTR Sports editing style shown in these examples:

REQUIRED SAMPLE
Please create one 25–30-second vertical Short using this footage:
Choose an engaging section that makes sense on its own, with a strong opening and a clear ending. Add relevant basketball B-roll, animations, animated captions, and sound effects using the references above as your style guide.
Export as a 1080×1920 MP4 and send a viewable Google Drive or Dropbox link. Also let me know which editing software you use and how long the sample took.
I’ll be choosing based primarily on the sample’s quality, especially how well your visuals and sounds match the dialogue.
