AEC Growth is a B2B lead generation agency serving the construction and professional services industries. We're scaling fast and need a sharp, detail-oriented Hiring Assistant to help us source, screen, and shortlist top candidates across multiple roles.

What you'll do:
Source candidates on Upwork, LinkedIn, and other platforms for roles like LinkedIn Outreach Managers, Client Success Managers, Video Editors, and AI/Automation Specialists
Screen applications and rank candidates based on defined criteria — not just checking boxes, but evaluating quality of thinking in their responses
Conduct initial screening calls (15-20 mins) to assess communication skills, cultural fit, and role-specific competence
Maintain organized candidate pipelines in our project management tools (ClickUp/Notion)
Draft and refine job posts, screening forms, and outreach messages based on what's working
Provide written candidate summaries with clear recommendations (Hire / Maybe / Pass) and reasoning
Coordinate paid trial tasks and gather feedback from candidates
Flag red flags early — vague answers, copy-paste responses, misaligned expectations, "sounds good but smells off" patterns
You're right for this if you:
Have 1-2+ years experience in recruiting, talent sourcing, or HR coordination (agency experience is a plus)
Can evaluate candidate quality beyond surface-level credentials — you read between the lines
Are highly organized and can manage multiple open roles simultaneously without dropping balls
Have strong written communication skills — your candidate summaries are clear, concise, and actionable
Are comfortable with screening calls and can quickly assess fit in a 15-minute conversation
Understand B2B services, lead generation, or agency environments (bonus: familiar with construction/AEC industry)
Are proactive — you suggest improvements to our hiring process, not just follow instructions
Can commit to 15-25 hours/week with consistent availability
