JOB OVERVIEW

Location: Remote (Philippines preferred)
Salary: $1200 (+ performance bonus later on)

CORE REQUIREMENTS:

Python & Software Engineering
- Strong experience with Python (3.8+)
- Deep understanding of Python package structures
- Experience with pyproject.toml and modern Python tooling
- Experience with code formatters and linters (e.g. Black, Ruff)

Experience building:
- Custom libraries and reusable packages
- Microservices and modular architectures

Familiar with:
- Testing workflows (unit and integration testing)
- DTO patterns and clean data modeling
- API communication and network layers
- AI development tooling

FRAMEWORKS & API DEVELOPMENT
- Strong experience with Python REST frameworks
- FastAPI (preferred)
- Flask or similar

- Experience designing and building scalable backend systems

Experience with:
- SQLAlchemy
- Alembic
- Pandas
- Pickle

AI / LLM integrations:
- OpenAI
- Llama
- LangChain

AUTHENTICATION
- Solid understanding of OAuth / OAuth2
- Experience with third-party auth providers (e.g. Clerk or similar)

DATABASES & DATA LAYER
- Strong experience with PostgreSQL
- SQLAlchemy ORM
- Alembic migrations

CACHING & REALTIME SYSTEMS
- Experience with Redis or Dragonfly
- Experience with realtime data systems (Convex is a strong plus)

Experience with background task systems such as:
- Celery
- Redis Queue
- or similar

ARCHITECTURE & SYSTEM DESIGN
- Experience working with multi-service architectures
- Familiar with service-oriented / microservices architectures
- Ability to design for scalability and maintainability

DEVOPS & DEPLOYMENT
- Experience with Docker and containerised environments
- Understanding of deployment workflows and production systems
