# High-End Personal Brand Video Editor — YouTube + Instagram Reels
## The Opportunity
I'm looking for an **exceptionally talented and ambitious video editor** to join me long-term in building a high-end personal brand in the business, mindset, performance, identity, and personal-development space.
This is NOT a generic video-editing position.
I'm looking for someone who understands how the world's strongest personal brands package ideas through:
**Storytelling. Psychology. Emotion. Pacing. Hooks. Typography. Personal B-roll. Sound design. Visual identity.**
Think of the quality, retention, storytelling, and attention to detail found in creators such as:
* Iman Gadzhi
* Alex Hormozi
* Nick Setting
* SooWei Goh
The objective isn't to copy these creators.
It's to understand **why their content works** and develop our own recognizable, premium visual identity.
I don't want unnecessary effects every two seconds.
I want content that feels:
**Premium. Clean. Modern. Powerful. Emotional. Intelligent. High-value.**
Most importantly, the ideas themselves must remain at the center.
---
# Before Applying — Study the Brand
Before applying, please take some time to understand the content we're building:
**YouTube:** Hugo Christiansen
I strongly recommend watching some of my content before submitting your application.
I don't want someone who simply knows how to edit videos.
I want someone who understands **my ideas, personality, audience, communication style, and long-term vision** — and who can eventually translate all of that into a recognizable visual identity.
If you've already been following my content before seeing this job post, please mention it in your application.
---
# What We're Building
This isn't about hiring someone to "edit some videos."
I'm building a serious personal brand and content ecosystem with the intention of becoming a major player in the business, mindset, identity, performance, and personal-development industry.
I'm looking for someone with an **insane amount of grit**.
Someone ambitious.
Someone curious.
Someone who wants responsibility.
Someone who wants to become world-class at their craft.
Someone who gets excited about building something from the early stages and eventually being able to say:
**"I helped build that."**
I want the type of person I'd genuinely enjoy sitting down and having dinner with — someone who thinks differently, cares deeply about what they create, and has ambitions far beyond simply collecting a paycheck.
If you're looking for a comfortable freelance gig where you receive footage, edit it, send it back, and forget about it...
**This probably isn't for you.**
But if you want to become an integral part of an ambitious brand and grow as the company grows, keep reading.
---
# What You'll Be Editing
We plan to publish approximately:
## YouTube
**2+ long-form YouTube videos per week**
## Instagram
**Approximately 2 Reels per day**
Most Reels will initially come from long-form content, alongside occasional original short-form content.
One of your most important responsibilities will be watching long-form videos and **independently recognizing the moments that deserve to become short-form content.**
I don't want to provide every timestamp forever.
You should eventually be able to watch a video and think:
**"THAT is the Reel."**
And understand exactly why.
---
# This Is About More Than Editing
Technical editing ability is obviously important.
But I'm equally interested in your understanding of **human psychology and emotion.**
A great editor doesn't simply make a video look pretty.
A great editor understands:
**What makes someone stop scrolling?**
**What creates curiosity?**
**Where does tension need to build?**
**Where should we slow down?**
**What moment creates emotion?**
**What makes the viewer trust the creator?**
**What makes an idea memorable?**
**What makes the right viewer eventually want to work with us?**
Our audience consists primarily of **successful founders and entrepreneurs who have already achieved significant results but know there is another level of performance, identity, and personal transformation available to them.**
We're not trying to attract everybody.
We're trying to create content that resonates deeply with the **right people**.
Views matter.
But **qualified attention, trust, the right audience, and ultimately conversions matter more.**
---
# Your Responsibilities
## Long-Form YouTube
* Turn raw footage into polished, premium YouTube videos
* Remove unnecessary pauses, repetition, mistakes, and dead space
* Improve pacing and viewer retention
* Create emotional dynamics throughout the video
* Use my personal B-roll and brand assets where appropriate
* Add tasteful graphics, text, screenshots, diagrams, and visual explanations
* Use music and sound design intelligently
* Maintain a consistent premium visual identity
* Make complex ideas easier to understand visually
* Understand when NOT to add an effect
* Help make every video feel intentional
## Short-Form Content
You will watch long-form videos and independently identify the strongest short-form opportunities.
You'll then:
* Select powerful 30–90 second sections
* Identify or construct strong opening hooks
* Package ideas specifically for short-form consumption
* Reframe footage vertically
* Add premium captions and typography
* Use my personal B-roll for visual storytelling
* Create tasteful pattern interrupts
* Improve pacing and retention
* Use sound design intelligently
* Amplify emotion without making the content feel artificial
You must understand the difference between **cutting a clip** and **packaging an idea.**
---
# Personal B-Roll & Content Library
You will have access to an organized **content bank containing my personal B-roll, lifestyle footage, previous shoots, photos, screenshots, graphics, and other brand assets.**
When adding B-roll, I want you to primarily use **my own footage and brand assets — NOT generic stock footage from the internet.**
Part of your job will be learning this content library extremely well so that when I discuss a particular idea, emotion, experience, or story, you instinctively know which visual moments from my life can reinforce it.
Over time, we'll continuously expand this library with new footage from professional shoots, travel, business, lifestyle, and everyday life.
The goal is for the content to visually communicate **my world and my brand**, rather than looking like generic internet content.
---
# Data & Content Performance
Over time, I want you to become obsessed with understanding **why certain content performs better than other content.**
Not just:
**"This Reel got more views."**
But:
**Why?**
What was the topic?
What was the hook?
What emotion did it create?
What editing choices worked?
What type of person engaged with it?
Did it generate the right followers?
Did it generate qualified conversations?
Did it ultimately contribute to sales?
We'll analyze our content and continuously improve.
The objective isn't simply **maximum views**.
The objective is building a content machine that generates:
**Attention ? Emotion ? Trust ? Authority ? Qualified Audience ? Conversion**
If analyzing that sounds exciting to you, you'll probably enjoy working with us.
---
# The Person We're Looking For
Formal education does NOT matter to me.
I don't care whether you have a bachelor's degree.
I care about:
**Taste.
Grit.
Ambition.
Creativity.
Emotional intelligence.
Psychology.
Content judgment.
English comprehension.
Reliability.
Attention to detail.
Editing ability.
Speed.
Curiosity.
Coachability.**
Ideally, you've already spent **tens or hundreds of hours consuming YouTube content about business, entrepreneurship, personal development, psychology, performance, or high-level personal brands.**
If you've spent hundreds of hours studying creators, businesses, personal brands, storytelling, and psychology because you genuinely enjoy this world, that's a major advantage.
When someone references creators like Hormozi or Gadzhi, I don't want you completely unfamiliar with the world we're operating in.
You should understand internet culture.
You should understand personal brands.
You should understand why people watch.
And your English needs to be strong enough to understand nuanced conversations about business, psychology, identity, performance, and personal development.
---
# The Long-Term Vision
I'm specifically looking for someone who wants to build a **long-term relationship**.
This starts as a Video Editor position.
But for the right person, there is a real potential progression:
**Video Editor ? Senior Editor ? Content Strategist ? Head of Content / Creative Director**
I would love to eventually find someone capable of becoming much more than an editor.
Someone who understands the brand so deeply that they can help:
* Develop content concepts
* Analyze content and conversion performance
* Plan videos
* Identify winning topics
* Create storytelling frameworks
* Coordinate the content production process
* Direct other editors
* Work alongside videographers
* Shape the visual identity of the brand
* Identify gaps in our personal B-roll/content library
* Help determine what we should create next
As the brand grows, **your compensation and responsibility can grow with it.**
Although this position begins remotely, exceptional long-term team members may eventually have opportunities to work together in person — potentially joining shoots, projects, or team trips in places such as **Paris, Marbella, Dubai, and elsewhere.**
I want to build a small group of extremely capable, ambitious people who genuinely enjoy working together and want to build something significant.

# How to Apply
Read this carefully.
**Start your application with the word "OMEGA".**
If your application doesn't begin with OMEGA, I'll assume you didn't read the job description.
Then send me ONLY the following:
## 1. Your 3 Best Short-Form Edits
Send the **three best Reels/Shorts you've ever edited.**
Not 30.
Your three best.
## 2. Your Best Long-Form YouTube Edit
Send the **single best long-form YouTube video you've edited.**
## 3. Your Rate & Availability
Tell me:
* Your preferred hourly rate
* Your preferred monthly rate
* Approximately how many hours per week you can dedicate
## 4. Your Creative Taste
Name **three creators whose content/editing you admire** and briefly explain why.
## 5. Your Experience With This World
Tell me what business, entrepreneurship, psychology, performance, or personal-development content you personally consume.
I genuinely want to know.
## 6. Your Contribution
For every portfolio example, tell me what YOU personally did:
* Editing
* Clip selection
* Personal B-roll selection
* Motion graphics
* Captions
* Sound design
* Hook creation
* Storytelling
* Thumbnail/design
Don't claim an entire team's work as your own.
## 7. One Thing You Would Improve
After looking at my YouTube and Instagram, tell me **one thing you would immediately improve about my current content or editing.**
Don't tell me what you think I want to hear.
I want to understand **how you think creatively.**
---
# Selection Process
If I like your portfolio, I'll send you footage from one of my videos.
Before you even edit it, I may ask you to:
1. Find the three strongest potential Reels
2. Give me their timestamps
3. Create a potential hook/title for each
4. Explain WHY you selected them
This tests something I care deeply about:
**How you think.**
Final candidates may then receive a **paid editing test**.
You'll be evaluated on both technical execution and creative judgment.
---
# Compensation
I'm initially looking around the **$5–$7/hour range**, depending on skill, experience, speed, and portfolio.
I'm also open to fixed monthly arrangements.
If your rate is slightly outside this range but you believe you're exceptional, **apply anyway.**
If you become extremely valuable to the brand, I'm happy for your compensation to reflect that.
I'm not looking for the cheapest editor.
**I'm looking for someone currently undervalued who has the ambition to become world-class.**
If you're hungry, extremely ambitious, obsessed with improving your craft, and excited by the idea of helping build a brand from the ground up into something significant, I want to hear from you.
If you read this and thought:
**"This sounds exactly like me."**
Start your application with:
