Healthcare Virtual Assistant

Salary: $5.00–$7.00/hour (depending on experience)
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 9:00 AM–6:00 PM EDT

We're hiring an experienced **Healthcare Virtual Assistant** to support a growing U.S.-based healthcare practice offering primary care, mental health, weight-loss, and cosmetic services.

This is a hands-on healthcare administrative role involving patient communication, scheduling, insurance verification, prior authorizations, credentialing, clinical documentation review, and billing support.

A key requirement for this position is extensive hands-on experience with Charm Health EMR. We're looking for someone who already knows the platform well and can confidently use its advanced features with minimal training.

What You'll Do

* Answer patient calls and emails professionally and empathetically
* Schedule, reschedule, and confirm patient appointments
* Manage new-patient intake and required paperwork
* Coordinate scheduling across multiple healthcare services
* Verify insurance eligibility and benefits
* Process and follow up on prior authorizations
* Assist with provider credentialing and insurance company follow-ups
* Track insurance verifications and assist with claim-related issues
* Review clinical notes for accuracy, completeness, and missing information
* Prepare documentation and paperwork for the billing team
* Coordinate medication check-ins and other patient follow-ups
* Provide general healthcare administrative and operational support
* Assist with Facebook content creation and posting when needed

MUST-HAVE Qualifications

* At least 1 year of experience in a healthcare-related administrative or virtual assistant role**
* Extensive hands-on experience with Charm Health EMR (REQUIRED)**
* Ability to confidently use and navigate advanced Charm Health features with minimal training**
* Experience with insurance verification and prior authorizations**
* Experience with provider credentialing, claims, and medical billing workflows**
* Strong medical, nursing, or healthcare administration background
* Experience reviewing clinical documentation for accuracy and completeness
* Excellent spoken and written English communication skills
* Professional phone etiquette and patient/customer service skills
* Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management
* Proactive, dependable, and able to manage multiple priorities independently

Preferred Qualifications

Previous experience as a Medical Virtual Assistant, Medical Administrative Assistant, Medical Receptionist, or Patient Care Coordinator

Experience supporting multiple healthcare service lines
Experience creating and publishing Facebook content for a healthcare practice
Comfortable working with a small team and adapting to changing priorities
