TYPE / HOURS: Full-time. Must work US Eastern business hours (approx. 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM ET) -- you'll be on the phone/portals with US insurers and pharmacies during their business hours. This is an evening/overnight shift in the Philippines; please only apply if that works for you long-term.
ABOUT US:
We're a growing dermatology practice in South Florida. We need a specialist who already knows three specific derm-office workflows cold:
1. Prior authorizations -- getting biologics, topicals, and other meds approved with insurance (CoverMyMeds, payer portals, appeals on denials).
2. Accutane / isotretinoin (iPledge REMS) -- tracking monthly labs and pregnancy-test windows, entering/confirming patients in the iPledge system, coordinating with pharmacies so prescriptions are only released when a patient is actually compliant. This is federally regulated and our prescriber is personally liable for it -- there is zero room for shortcuts.
3. Pathology / biopsy result tracking -- making sure every biopsy gets a result, every patient with a result gets contacted per protocol, and anything urgent (e.g., melanoma) is flagged to the provider immediately, not sat on.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
- Submit and follow up on prior authorizations; work denials and appeals to resolution.
- Run the iPledge/Accutane compliance checklist for every isotretinoin patient -- labs current, pregnancy test in window, confirmation entered -- before any prescription is released.
- Track pathology results against every biopsy performed; log results, contact patients per protocol, and escalate anything urgent to the provider the same day.
- Coordinate with pharmacies and insurers by phone and message.
- Document everything accurately; keep all patient information strictly confidential.
WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR (THIS MATTERS MOST):
- Real, hands-on derm-office experience in all three lanes above -- prior auths, Accutane/iPledge, and pathology/biopsy tracking. Tell us the systems you've used (iPledge, CoverMyMeds, EMA/ModMed, or similar) and give specific examples. General VA or unrelated medical-admin experience does not meet this bar -- please don't apply without this specific background.
- Common sense, maturity, and the ability to work independently -- you catch your own mistakes, you never guess on anything regulatory or clinical, and you escalate the right things immediately.
- Meticulous and deadline-driven -- a missed lab window or a sat-on path result is a real patient safety issue, not just an inconvenience.
- Excellent spoken and written English.
REQUIREMENTS: Reliable high-speed internet, a quiet place to take calls, a working headset.
TO APPLY: Start your message with the exact phrase "Let's get it cleared!" (this is how we know you read the whole post). Then (1) attach your CV/resume -- name the specific systems you've used for prior auths, iPledge/Accutane, and pathology tracking -- and (2) in 2-3 sentences, tell me about a time you caught a serious error on your own, with no one available to ask for help -- what happened and what you did. Applications that skip the phrase, the CV, or the specific systems won't be reviewed.
