Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Data Quality Management
Review healthcare data for accuracy, completeness, and consistency.
Identify and resolve duplicate patient, provider, and organizational records.
Correct demographic, insurance, billing, and clinical data discrepancies.
Validate patient eligibility and enrollment information.
Standardize data formats, naming conventions, and coding structures.
Perform routine audits to maintain database integrity and quality standards.
Monitor incoming data feeds for errors and exceptions.
Data Validation and Cleansing
Verify patient demographic information including names, addresses, dates of birth, and contact details.
Validate provider credentials, identifiers, and practice information.
Review diagnosis, procedure, and billing codes for accuracy and consistency.
Identify missing, incomplete, invalid, or conflicting data elements.
Research discrepancies and work with appropriate departments to obtain corrections.
Maintain audit trails and documentation of data corrections.
Compliance and Regulatory Support
Ensure healthcare data meets HIPAA privacy and security requirements.
Support CMS, Medicare, Medicaid, and payer reporting accuracy.
Assist with quality reporting initiatives including HEDIS, MIPS, ACO, RPM, CCM, and other value-based care programs.
Follow organizational policies and procedures regarding protected health information (PHI).
Participate in compliance reviews and data governance initiatives.
Maintain confidentiality and security of sensitive healthcare information.
Reporting and Analytics Support
Prepare and validate data for quality improvement initiatives.
Support population health and care management reporting efforts.
Assist with performance measurement and operational analytics projects.
Generate data quality reports and exception findings.
Collaborate with analysts and operational leaders to improve reporting accuracy.
Monitor key data quality metrics and performance indicators.
Collaboration and Communication
Work closely with clinical, operational, compliance, and IT teams.
Communicate data quality concerns and recommendations to leadership.
Assist with development of data standards and quality improvement processes.
Participate in workflow improvement initiatives to reduce future data errors.
Provide support during audits, accreditation reviews, and regulatory inspections.
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Associate's degree in Healthcare Administration, Health Information Management, Business Administration, Information Systems, or related field preferred.
Minimum of one year of healthcare, medical records, data entry, data quality, or administrative experience preferred.
Knowledge of healthcare terminology, medical documentation, and healthcare operations.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Experience working with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
Ability to manage multiple assignments while meeting deadlines.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
