Fast-paced Korean-American law firm seeks an extremely detail-oriented and talented paralegal (familiarity with health and insurance law preferred but not required) to join their team. Full overlap with the company's schedule (9am-5pm Eastern US Time) is required.
Any hired candidates will be placed on a period of probation not to exceed three (3) months. If the candidate completes the probation period successfully, he or she will be provided a monthly salary of $1,000.
Responsibilities will include:
1. Legal Research and analysis of various health insurance issues
2. Drafting of arbitration submissions covering various health insurance issues
3. Negotiation and settlement of arbitration claims with insurance companies
4. Complex decision-making utilizing scheduling and other procedural rules of arbitration.
Requirements for the position:
1. Excellent communication skills in English, both oral and written (requires direct contact with clients, judges, and other professionals). Strong command of spelling and grammar. A writing sample will be required.
2. Full overlap with the company's working hours (9am-5pm Eastern US Time)
3. Must be able to work all United States working dates (even if it is a Philippines holiday). US holidays will be given off.
4. Must be proactive and extremely responsive during working hours.
5. Familiarity with health and insurance law preferred but not required. Training will be provided to hired candidates.
6. Proficiency in Google suite, Adobe Pro, and Microsoft office. Ability to utilize technology well to complete tasks in an efficient manner.
7. Ability to work seamlessly with other staff members, both in US and in PH. Ability to delegate to potential subordinates in an efficient manner.
8. Existing tech setup including a fast computer and at least two large monitors (at least 1080p resolution).
9. Valid passport (established staff members may need to attend in-person training in South Korea).

5. Please advise regarding your ability to work during our company's workday (9-5 Eastern US time), as well as your ability to work on all US workdays (including Philippine holidays).
6. Please advise whether you have a valid passport and would be able to attend potential in-person trainings in South Korea.
7. Please include your own suggested starting probationary monthly salary (in USD).
