JOB OVERVIEW

We are a fast-growing international DTC Ecom brand. Currently we are looking for a Philippines-based Head of Operations / Acting COO to become the Founder’s primary execution partner and take ownership of company-wide execution.

This is not an Executive Assistant, project coordinator or reporting role. You will be the single point of accountability for turning Founder strategy into clear priorities, owners, timelines and measurable results.

What You Will Own

- Translate Founder priorities into executable company plans and ensure they are delivered;
- Build and manage the operating layer across People Ops, Creative Operations, Creator/UGC Operations, E-commerce, Amazon, Customer Support and other assigned functions;
- Define responsibilities, decision rights, KPIs and operating cadence for functional leads;
- Hold managers accountable through direct feedback, performance reviews, coaching, PIPs and team changes when necessary;
- Act as the primary routing and escalation point for day-to-day execution issues;
- Resolve ownership gaps, conflicting priorities, resource constraints and recurring delays without relying on the Founder;
- Lead cross-functional execution across growth, CRO, creative production, customer experience, inventory, supply chain and product launches;
- Ensure launches and critical projects have clear owners, locked timelines, active risk management and predictable delivery;
- Run the weekly business review and proactively identify operational risks, bottlenecks and opportunities;
- Reduce Founder dependency by making routine operating decisions independently and escalating only strategic, financial or high-risk matters;
- Use AI and automation to eliminate repetitive work while personally owning the judgment, communication, accountability and people management that technology cannot replace.

You are not expected to personally perform every specialist task. Your responsibility is to ensure the appropriate functional owner delivers the required result.

What Success Looks Like for the first 90 days

- Routine operational issues no longer require Founder involvement;
- Every major function has a clear owner, scorecard and decision authority;
- Critical cross-functional projects achieve at least 90% on-time delivery;
- Missed deadlines and underperformance are addressed rather than repeatedly reported;
- People Ops, contracts, onboarding and hiring execution become reliable;
- The Founder can focus primarily on growth, product, brand and strategic opportunities.

Requirements

- 7+ years of professional experience, including at least 3 years in senior operations leadership;
- Proven experience in DTC e-commerce brands;
- Experience managing managers or multiple functional teams, not only individual contributors;
- Experience working directly with a Founder or CEO;
- Strong judgment in people management, prioritization and cross-functional execution;
- Comfortable handling difficult feedback, PIPs and team changes;
- Familiarity with Shopify, Amazon, Performance marketing, Shopify, TikTok Shop or comparable e-commerce channels;
- Excellent spoken and written English;
- Available full-time and exclusively for a long-term role.

Experience in beauty, skincare, personal care, wellness, or another high-volume DTC brands is preferred.
