JOB OVERVIEW

We are looking for an experienced, hands-on HR & People Operations Manager to support a growing international DTC e-commerce company.

Recruitment will be an important initial focus, but this is not a sourcing-only role. You will also manage onboarding, contracts, payroll coordination, performance processes, employee relations, HR systems, reporting, and other day-to-day people operations.

The ideal candidate can work independently, build practical processes, and reduce management’s involvement in routine hiring and HR administration.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage full-cycle recruitment, including sourcing, screening, interviews, candidate communication, scheduling, offers, and hiring coordination.

- Recruit creative, growth, and operational roles across the Philippines, Europe, and other international markets.

- Evaluate candidates based on their actual responsibilities, relevant DTC experience, work quality, availability, and results—not simply their job titles.

- Manage contracts, NDAs, employee and contractor records, onboarding, offboarding, and access coordination.

- Coordinate timesheets, invoices, attendance, payroll information, bonuses, and related records.

- Establish and manage probation reviews, performance tracking, employee feedback, and documentation of performance issues.

- Handle routine employee questions and people-related matters, escalating sensitive or important decisions when necessary.

- Build and maintain practical HR SOPs, scorecards, trackers, and reporting systems.

- Provide clear weekly updates covering recruitment progress, employee matters, bottlenecks, and required decisions.

Requirements

- Proven experience across both recruitment and broader HR or People Operations.

- Experience supporting remote teams, startups, DTC brands, e-commerce companies, or agencies.

- Familiarity with creative and performance roles such as Creative Strategist, Video Editor, Graphic Designer, Creative Operations, Media Buyer, Retention, CRO, and amazon related marketplace roles.

- Experience proactively sourcing candidates internationally, especially in the Philippines and Europe.

- Hands-on experience with onboarding, contracts, payroll coordination, performance tracking, employee records, and HR reporting.

- Strong written and spoken English, attention to detail, confidentiality, and follow-up discipline.

- Able to work independently and take ownership without requiring constant supervision.

This role will begin with an initial full-time trial. The longer-term arrangement will be reviewed afterward based on performance and ongoing business needs.
