JOB OVERVIEW

We are an Australian facilities management company based in Perth, Western Australia. We recruit across three very different labour markets: mining and resources, facilities management, and hotels. We are looking for an HR Manager to take full ownership of recruitment and onboarding for our Australian operations.

PERTH RUNS ON MANILA TIME. Both are UTC plus eight. Normal daytime hours, all year, no night shift. You will also be joining a team that already includes Filipino colleagues. We have worked with staff in the Philippines for ten years.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

Write and place job ads on Australian job boards, and source candidates directly
Screen against the real requirements of the role, not the job title on the resume
Run first round video interviews and present shortlists with a recommendation
Verify tickets, licences, White Cards, police clearances and work rights, and know which matter for which site
Book and follow through pre employment medicals and drug and alcohol testing
Run onboarding from offer through to first day
Work directly with our Perth managers through the day

You are expected to think, not just process applications.

WHAT THIS ROLE IS NOT

Not payroll processing
Not general virtual assistant work
Not corporate or office recruitment only
Not micromanaged

We judge you on the quality of the people you put in front of us, not the number of resumes you forward.

REQUIRED (NON-NEGOTIABLE)

Only apply if you meet ALL of the following:

Proven experience recruiting for Australian employers
Hands on exposure to at least two of: mining or resources, facilities management, hospitality
A working understanding of Australian modern awards and Fair Work requirements
Very strong written and spoken English. You will write ads and speak to Australian candidates and managers every day, and your writing must go out under our name without editing

If you have only recruited office staff, this role will be harder than you expect.

WORK SETUP

Remote, Philippines based, full time, long term
Monday to Friday, Perth hours, which are your hours
Direct communication with the company owner
Clear expectations, no micromanagement

SALARY

45,000 to 85,000 pesos per month, based on proven ability.
