About the Role:
PrimaryCareIM is looking for an experienced Healthcare Compliance Officer to help ensure our primary care practice remains compliant with applicable U.S. federal and Florida healthcare regulations, HIPAA, Medicare/Medicaid, payer requirements, and internal policies.
We are seeking someone with practical healthcare compliance experience who can work closely with leadership and department heads to identify risks, conduct audits, improve processes, and maintain a strong culture of compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
Monitor compliance with U.S. and Florida healthcare regulations.
Conduct compliance audits, risk assessments, and internal reviews.
Monitor HIPAA privacy and security compliance.
Review billing, coding, documentation, claims, and payer compliance.
Identify compliance gaps and coordinate corrective actions.
Develop and maintain compliance policies and procedures.
Coordinate employee compliance training.
Assist with investigations, audits, and regulatory reviews.
Maintain compliance records, reports, and corrective action plans.
Provide compliance updates and recommendations to leadership.
Stay current with changes in healthcare regulations and payer requirements.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Health Information Management, Nursing, Business, Compliance, or related field preferred.
3+ years of healthcare compliance or medical practice experience preferred.
Strong knowledge of HIPAA and U.S. healthcare regulations.
Knowledge of Florida healthcare requirements is highly preferred.
Familiarity with Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insurance requirements.
Understanding of medical billing, coding, documentation, and RCM.
Experience with healthcare audits, compliance reviews, or risk management.

Preferred Certifications:
CHC | CHPC | CCEP | CHCP or other relevant healthcare compliance certification.
Certification is preferred but not required with strong relevant experience.
