About the role
This is a hands-on growth role for someone with high agency who can identify opportunities, prioritize experiments, execute them, measure their commercial impact, and keep improving the system with little to no direction.

You should be comfortable operating with limited resources, making decisions independently, and being accountable for revenue—not vanity metrics.
What you will own
Conversion and monetization
- Audit and improve the journey from organic landing pages and job listings to Premium purchase.
- Increase conversion across our quiz,
- Develop and test positioning, offers, pricing, plan structure, guarantees, promotions, and upgrade prompts.
- Write and implement landing-page, paywall, and checkout copy.
- Find and fix the largest revenue leaks across the funnel.
Lifecycle and retention
- Own lead nurturing, onboarding, activation, retention, renewal, cancellation, and win-back communication.
- Improve the existing
- Increase Premium adoption through job alerts, advanced filters, saved jobs, talent profiles, and other product features.
- Create systems for learning why customers subscribe, cancel, renew, and recommend our company.
- Reduce avoidable churn and improve subscriber lifetime value.
Organic growth
- Turn our company's existing SEO traffic, job pages, advice library, and lead magnets into more qualified leads and paying customers.
- Identify high-intent content and landing-page opportunities connected to subscription revenue.
- Build partnerships, affiliates, referrals, communities, and other repeatable non-paid acquisition channels.
- Repurpose existing research, customer stories, and job-search resources into revenue-producing campaigns.
- Work on organic distribution directly instead of simply producing a content calendar.
Analytics and experimentation
- Establish clear reporting for MRR, new subscriptions, plan mix, funnel conversion, retention, churn, LTV, and revenue by
source.
- Use tools such as Plausible, Stripe, SQL, spreadsheets, and internal data to diagnose opportunities.
- Maintain a prioritized experiment backlog based on expected revenue impact.
- Define a hypothesis and success metric before launching an experiment.
- Report what changed, what happened, what was learned, and what happens next.
- Separate meaningful revenue improvements from vanity metrics and misleading attribution.
What success looks like
First 30 days
- Understand the product, customers, traffic sources, subscription economics, and existing funnel.
- Validate analytics and establish a reliable revenue scorecard.
- Identify the largest conversion and retention opportunities.
- Launch several focused, measurable improvements.
Within 60 days
- Establish a consistent weekly experimentation cadence.
- Improve at least one important funnel conversion rate.
- Launch or improve lifecycle campaigns for onboarding, abandoned checkout, retention, and win-back.
- Produce an evidence-based plan for pricing, packaging, organic acquisition, and churn reduction.
Within 90 days
- Demonstrate measurable incremental subscription revenue.
- Have a working growth system with clear funnel reporting and an organized experiment backlog.
- Show progress in conversion, subscriber retention, plan mix, or another agreed revenue driver.
- Establish at least one promising repeatable non-paid growth channel beyond existing traffic.
You may be a strong fit if you
- Have 4+ years of hands-on growth experience in a consumer subscription, SaaS, marketplace, job-search, education, career, or
digital membership business.
- Have personally improved paid conversion, recurring revenue, retention, or LTV—not merely supported someone else who owned the
result.
- Can provide specific examples with starting metrics, actions taken, and measurable revenue outcomes.
- Understand conversion optimization, lifecycle
- Can write persuasive, credible conversion copy without depending on a copywriter for every experiment. Using AI is encouraged.
- Are comfortable analyzing funnels, cohorts, customer behavior, and subscription economics.
- Can execute with lightweight tools and collaborate with engineering when product changes are required.
- Work independently, communicate clearly, and know how to prioritize when there are more ideas than resources.
Useful additional skills
- Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, EJS, or similar template systems.
- Ability to query data with SQL.
- Experience with Stripe subscriptions and billing data.
- Experience building affiliate, referral, partnership, or community programs.
- Experience converting organic search traffic into subscription revenue.
- Familiarity with job boards, marketplaces, career products, or international consumer audiences.
This role is not for someone who
- Specializes primarily in paid advertising or media buying.
- Wants to manage agencies without doing hands-on execution.
- Measures success mainly through impressions, followers, traffic, or
- Produces strategies and presentations but waits for others to implement them.
- Needs a large team before they can make progress.
- Has only B2B lead-generation experience without consumer subscription or transactional growth exposure.
