Graphic Designer — Social Media & Paid Ads Creative

WHO WE ARE
Groe Digital is a paid advertising and lead generation agency. We run Meta
We're building a small, tight team of A-players who own their craft. This is a long-term position with room to grow as we grow.
THE ROLE
We need a graphic designer who can produce scroll-stopping visuals for two purposes:
Organic social media content (Instagram/Facebook posts, Reels covers, Stories, carousels) — 3 graphics per client per month
Paid Meta ad creatives (static images and graphic ads) — volume varies by client budget
You'll work across multiple clients in different industries (fitness, restaurants, home services, beauty, real estate, retail). Each client has a defined brand identity, content pillars, and visual style guide that you'll follow — but we also want your creative eye. We don't want someone who just follows instructions robotically. We want someone who takes a brief and makes it better than what we imagined.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
Designing social media graphics optimized for Instagram and
Designing ad creatives optimized for Meta campaigns (static ads, carousel ads, story ads)
Working from detailed briefs that include the key message, visual direction, brand guidelines, and reference examples
Designing with a social-media-first mindset — every graphic should be designed to stop the scroll, not just look pretty in a portfolio
Using client brand guidelines (colors, fonts, visual style) to maintain consistency while bringing fresh creative ideas
Using existing content and inspiration as starting points — we'll share reference posts, competitor examples, and previous designs to build from
Creating new takes and variations on proven designs — not just copying, but evolving
Delivering editable source files (Canva links preferred for team access, or PSD/AI if complex)
Delivering exported files in correct dimensions per platform
Communicating clearly on WhatsApp about timelines, questions, and delivery
Taking revision feedback professionally and delivering fixes within 24 hours
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Must-haves:
Strong portfolio showing social media graphics AND ad creatives (not just logos or print)
Experience designing specifically for Instagram and
Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop
Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator
Proficiency in Canva (we use this for team collaboration and editable templates)
Experience with AI design tools (Midjourney, Adobe Firefly, Leonardo, or similar) for generating concepts, backgrounds, or elements — you should be comfortable using AI as part of your workflow, not afraid of it
Ability to maintain brand consistency across multiple clients simultaneously
Clean, modern design aesthetic — we work with local businesses, not Fortune 500 corporations, so designs should feel approachable and human, not overly corporate
Reliable internet connection and ability to meet deadlines consistently
Strong pluses:
Experience designing for Meta/Facebook ad campaigns specifically (you understand ad creative best practices — bold text, clear CTA, mobile-first)
Experience working with a marketing agency (managing multiple client brands)
Motion graphics basics (simple animations for Stories or Reels)
Photo editing and retouching skills
Experience with Figma
Understanding of basic marketing principles (what makes someone click an ad vs scroll past)
HOW WE WORK
We communicate via WhatsApp (async, not calls)
Every graphic comes with a detailed brief: client name, platform, dimensions, key message, visual direction, reference examples, and a link to the client's brand identity document
Each brief is tagged "FOR SOCIAL" (organic posts) or "FOR ADS" (Meta campaigns) so you know the destination
Briefs are batched monthly per client — you'll receive all of a client's briefs at once, not drip-fed one at a time
Standard turnaround: 48 hours per graphic
Revision turnaround: 24 hours
You deliver to a shared Google Drive folder, organized per client
Weekly 15-minute check-in call with your team lead
We value speed, consistency, and communication. If something is unclear in a brief, ask BEFORE you start — don't guess
WHAT WE PROVIDE
Detailed brand identity documents for every client (colors, fonts, voice, visual style, content pillars)
Clear briefs with references and direction for every graphic
Organized Drive folder per client where you pick up briefs and deliver finished work
Consistent workload — this is not feast-or-famine freelance work. You'll have steady clients every month
Room to grow — as we add clients, your hours (and pay) can increase
Creative freedom within brand guidelines — we want your ideas, not just execution
Professional, respectful working relationship — we treat designers as skilled professionals, not pixel pushers
WHAT THE FIRST 2 WEEKS LOOK LIKE (Paid Trial)
Week 1: You receive brand identity docs for 2-3 clients. You study their brands. You receive your first batch of briefs (2-3 graphics). You deliver, we review, we give feedback.
Week 2: Full workflow — you receive a full month's briefs for multiple clients. You deliver on schedule. We evaluate speed, quality, communication, and brand consistency.
If Week 1-2 go well, you're on the team long-term.

A short Loom video (2-3 minutes, with your face on camera) walking through 2-3 of your best social media designs. Show us the work and explain your design thinking — why you chose those colors, that layout, that font. This tells us how you think, not just what you can make.
Your hourly rate and availability (hours per week you can commit).
Tools you use daily (Photoshop, Illustrator, Canva, AI tools — which ones specifically).
Your experience with Meta/Facebook ad creative (even if limited — be honest).
