Job Title
Graphic Designer - Meta Ad Creative (Part-Time) - Sustainable UK DTC Brand

About the Role
We are a UK sustainable oral care brand, we make home-compostable toothpaste refills paired with a reusable dispenser, and we just landed our first major UK retailer (Boots). We're scaling fast on Meta ads and need a designer to help us keep creative output high without sacrificing quality.

This is a part-time, ongoing role focused on one core area:
- Meta ad creative (static only), static ads and carousels for both cold prospecting and retargeting campaigns

Experience in packaging/print design, email design, or web design is a bonus (see "Nice to Have" below), candidates who bring all of that experience alongside strong Meta ad creative work will be considered for an expanded full-time role covering brand/packaging, email, and occasional web design too.

What You'll Be Doing
- Turn product photography and UGC/influencer stills into scroll-stopping static ad creative for Meta (Facebook/Instagram)
- Produce both single-image ads and carousels for cold prospecting and retargeting campaigns
- Iterate quickly based on ad performance data and feedback, this is a testing-driven, DTC environment, not a "one perfect design" environment
- Keep a consistent brand voice: bold, warm, witty, "ditch the plastic, ditch the nasties" energy, never preachy

Requirements
- 3+ years graphic design experience, with a strong portfolio in ecommerce/DTC paid social ad creative (this is non-negotiable, agency-only or print-only portfolios won't fit)
- Proficient in Figma, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop/Illustrator), and Canva
- Understands what makes creative perform on Meta, hooks, thumb-stopping visuals, pattern interrupts, not just what looks good
- Strong communicator in English, reliable with deadlines, comfortable working async with a UK-based team

Nice to Have
- Packaging/print design experience (branded leaflets, POS, FSDU design, merch), useful as we roll out into physical retail (Boots)
- Email template/graphic design experience (Klaviyo, Mailchimp, or similar)
- Basic web design skills (Webflow, Shopify, or similar) for occasional landing page work
- Experience designing for a retail/FMCG, sustainability, beauty/wellness, or challenger DTC brand

Note: candidates who tick most or all of the boxes above, on top of strong Meta ad creative skills, may be offered a full-time role covering brand/packaging, email, and web design as well.

Hours & Schedule
- Part-time, ongoing role, approx. 3–4 hrs/day (15–20 hrs/week)
- Some overlap with UK working hours (GMT/BST) required for feedback loops and briefs, please specify your available overlap hours in your application
- Not a fixed-term project; room to grow into more hours (or a full-time role, see above) as we scale

Pay
- $450–750/month USD (pro-rated for part-time hours)
- Roughly $5.20–8.70/hr USD equivalent
- Paid monthly
