About BIWE
BIWE is a global personal and professional development platform built across multiple channels — Inspiration & Success Magazine (published quarterly), the BIWE app, a podcast, live events, a newsletter, and a growing community spanning the US, UK, Nigeria, and Kenya. We're currently preparing Volume 6 of the magazine and looking for a designer to help take our visual quality to the next level.
The Role
We're looking for a graphic designer with strong skills in professional design software (Adobe InDesign required; Photoshop/Illustrator a plus) to design and lay out Volume 6 of Inspiration & Success Magazine as a paid gig, with the possibility of ongoing quarterly work if it's a good fit. This is not a Canva-only role — we need someone who can build a clean, consistent, print-ready multi-page layout for this issue and set up a template we can reuse going forward.
Responsibilities
Design and lay out each quarterly issue of Inspiration & Success Magazine in Adobe InDesign, including feature articles, sponsor placements (Business Spotlight), and cover design
Maintain and evolve a consistent style guide/template across issues (fonts, color palette, grid system) in BIWE's cream and brown brand palette
Prepare final files for both digital distribution and print-ready export (proper bleed, CMYK color, resolution)
Design supporting brand assets: sponsor package materials, event banners, social graphics, and app visuals as needed
Retouch and prepare photography/images for print and digital use
Collaborate directly with the founder on creative direction, working from feedback and reference material
Requirements
Proven experience with Adobe InDesign for multi-page publication layout (portfolio required — magazine, catalog, or similar multi-page work, not just single-page graphics)
Working knowledge of Photoshop and/or Illustrator
Understanding of print production basics: bleed, CMYK vs. RGB, resolution/DPI
Strong sense of typography, layout hierarchy, and visual consistency
Ability to work independently from a brand style guide and give/receive feedback professionally
Reliable internet connection and availability to overlap briefly with US business hours for check-ins during the project
Nice to Have
Experience designing for lifestyle, business, or personal-development publications
Familiarity with Canva (for quick-turn social content alongside InDesign work)
Basic video/motion graphics skills for social content.
How to Apply
Please submit:
Your portfolio, with at least one example of multi-page layout work (magazine, catalog, ebook, or similar)
A short note on your experience with InDesign specifically
Your estimated turnaround time and flat rate (or per-page rate) for a magazine issue of this scope
Applications without a portfolio showing multi-page layout work will not be considered.
