Graphic Designer – Full-Time (Remote)
ABOUT INKERY
Inkery is a US-based promotional products company specializing in custom apparel, hats, and branded merchandise for organizations, schools, non-profits, and businesses of all kinds. We're a small, fast-moving team that takes pride in producing swag that actually means something — not generic giveaway junk. Our clients care about quality and design, and so do we.
THE ROLE
We're looking for a reliable, detail-obsessed graphic designer who can hit the ground running. You'll work directly with our team to produce print-ready artwork, social media content, and branded visuals for our clients and internal marketing. We move fast, give clear direction, and expect you to execute well without hand-holding.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
- Taking regular images (JPG, PNG, low-res logos) and recreating them as clean, production-ready vector files — not just SVG, but properly formatted AI, EPS, PDF, and PSD files
- Preparing and formatting files for print production (correct bleeds, color modes, spot colors, vector output)
- Creating artwork for custom apparel, hats, and promotional products
- Designing social media graphics and digital content for Inkery's marketing
- Adapting and cleaning up client-supplied artwork for production use
- Turning around revisions quickly based on clear feedback
- Keeping files organized, properly named, and easy to hand off
REQUIREMENTS
- 3+ years of graphic design experience with a portfolio showing real print and apparel work
- Expert-level Adobe Suite — Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign are non-negotiable
- Proven ability to convert raster images to true vector format across AI, EPS, PDF, and PSD — this is a core part of the job
- Experience with embroidery, screen printing, or promotional product file prep is a strong plus
- Ability to design for social media (static posts, stories, branded templates)
- Stable, reliable internet connection — this is required, not optional
- Extreme attention to detail — wrong colors, missed bleeds, and sloppy file prep are not acceptable here
YOU'RE A GOOD FIT IF...
- You've done apparel or merchandise design and understand print production inside and out
- You know the difference between a true vector redraw and an embedded raster in a vector file
- You're comfortable working independently in a remote setting
- You communicate clearly and flag issues before they become problems
- You don't need to be micromanaged
YOU'RE NOT A GOOD FIT IF...
- You only have web or UI design experience
- Your vectorizing work is trace-and-submit without quality checking
- You need constant check-ins to stay on track
- Your Adobe skills are beginner or intermediate level
- Your internet is inconsistent or unreliable
WHAT WE OFFER
- $5/hr during training, increasing to $6/hr once independent
- Raises based on tenure and output — we reward people who perform and stick around
- Remote, work-from-home position
- Stable, long-term role with a growing US company
- Direct communication with the business owner
