This position supports an online curriculum platform for elementary music teachers. The business creates curriculum materials, lesson plans, teaching resources, and professional development for general music educators.
The brand look is clean and friendly, with inspiration from Anthropologie Home, Rifle Paper Co., and Montessori.
A willingness to quickly learn music terminology, notation, and pedagogy is essential.

You will have flexibility in creating your own schedule and completing work during the hours that fit your workflow (often between 10 and 20 hours a week). With whatever schedule works for you, projects will be completed accurately and early, or (at the very latest) by the deadline.
Expect a consistent and transparent schedule for salary increases based on work performance. There is a pay increase each year, and you'll know ahead of time what I'm looking for in order to meet your salary goals.

RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Graphic Design and Formatting Execution
Produce polished graphics for social media, website, and teaching materials using established brand templates and guidelines
Apply strong visual hierarchy, balance, and alignment across all design work
Maintain extremely high attention to detail in spacing, color accuracy, typography, and consistency across every piece
2. Curriculum Content Creation and Repurposing
Take raw materials (e.g., video footage) and re-imagine them as different content units (for example, repurposing a video into an Instagram post)
Ensure all content reflects brand voice and visual identity consistently
Apply critical thinking, communication skills, and knowledge of music pedagogy to create and strategically reformat content
3. Educational Illustration & Visual Storytelling
Create original illustrations that support and enhance music education concepts, based on critical thinking and application of music pedagogy knowledge
Example: Develop illustrations that communicate musical ideas, classroom activities, movement directions, game formations, and teaching concepts
4. Collaboration and Implementation
Work collaboratively to implement planned projects
Receive creative direction and translate concepts into finished products
Communicate proactively about progress and any blockers well ahead of deadlines
Ask thoughtful questions and incorporate feedback efficiently
