Location: Remote (International applicants welcome)

The Role
We’re seeking a highly experienced, detail-oriented Grant Writer to support our mission-driven work through research, writing, and submission of grant proposals. This is an ideal role for someone who loves the craft of grant writing — identifying aligned funders, crafting compelling narratives, and adhering meticulously to guidelines.
You take pride in clean, professional writing and translating impact into fundable proposals. All work must be 100% human-written; AI tools (ChatGPT, Jasper, Claude, etc.) are strictly prohibited for the written work.
This role is best suited for someone who values long-term collaboration, steady weekly work, and contributing to meaningful initiatives, rather than chasing high hourly rates.

Key Responsibilities
Research and identify grant opportunities aligned with our mission and eligibility requirements
Review grant guidelines and summarize key submission requirements
Draft sections of proposals using templates and internal notes
Edit and proofread narratives for clarity, impact, and compliance
Assist with application assembly and submission checklists
Track deadlines, submissions, and outcomes

Required Skills & Experience
Advanced written English: impeccable grammar, clarity, professional tone
Strong research skills and exceptional attention to detail
Ability to follow instructions and templates precisely
Reliable communication and strong deadline management
Proficiency with Google Docs, spreadsheets, and online portals
Prior grant writing or nonprofit experience
Background in research, writing, or administrative support
Familiarity with U.S.-based nonprofits or foundations

Hours & Compensation
15 hours/week, flexible schedule as long as deadlines and submissions are met
Pay: $4/$5 USD/hour, depending on experience
Performance-based bonuses: Fixed “Win Bonus” awarded when a grant is awarded (not tied to award size and never commission-based)
