JOB OVERVIEW

We are a U.S.-based transportation, logistics, and government contracting company seeking a part-time remote Government Contracts & Business Development Coordinator.

This role is focused on identifying, researching, qualifying, and helping pursue government and commercial contract opportunities.

Responsibilities include:

Search government bid portals including ---------- , state, county, city, school district, transportation authority, airport, and other public agency procurement websites
Identify RFQs, RFPs, IFBs, and contract opportunities related to transportation, logistics, moving, courier services, box trucks, cargo vans, trucking, supplies, equipment, commodities, and other opportunities that fit our business
Review bid documents and summarize scope, due date, contract term, requirements, insurance, bonding, certifications, delivery requirements, and major risks
Research previous bids, previous winners, prior award amounts, and competitors
Find manufacturers, distributors, and suppliers for product-based bids
Request and track supplier quotes
Perform basic pricing and margin analysis
Recommend whether each opportunity should be pursued: BID / MAYBE / NO BID
Maintain a bid and opportunity tracking spreadsheet
Research private-sector opportunities for dedicated box truck, cargo van, courier, and recurring B2B delivery contracts
Identify decision-makers and perform professional email/LinkedIn outreach
Follow up with prospects and suppliers
Assist with preparing and organizing bid submission documents

We are looking for someone who is highly organized, analytical, resourceful, and comfortable doing detailed online research.

Experience with U.S. government contracting, procurement, RFP/RFQ research, ---------- , supplier sourcing, logistics, or B2B lead generation is highly preferred.

Compensation will include a small guaranteed base plus performance bonuses for approved bids submitted, awarded contracts, and qualified commercial opportunities that result in new business.

This is a part-time freelance position with opportunity for increased hours and compensation based on performance.
