Role Summary
We’re hiring a hands-on SEO + Google Ads specialist to own the “Google channel” for a pod of clients. You’ll manage Local SEO + Google Search Ads end-to-end: audits, strategy, implementation, optimization, and reporting — with clear communication and reliable follow-through.
This is a delivery role (execution + improvement), not just advisory.
Responsibilities
SEO (Local + On-Page)
Run SEO audits (technical + on-page + local) and prioritize fixes
Optimize location/service pages for local intent (structure, metadata, internal links)
Improve Google Business Profile (GBP) performance (categories, services, posts, Q&A, photos, tracking)
Keyword research + content mapping for service lines and locations
Coordinate or implement SEO updates (directly in WordPress or via our dev/content team)
Track rankings/visibility and recommend iterative improvements
Google Ads (PPC)
Build and manage Google Ads accounts: Search campaigns, ad groups, keywords, negatives, extensions
Create/optimize landing page alignment and conversion tracking strategy
Improve performance through ongoing optimization (search terms, bids, budgets, ads, audiences)
Implement and validate conversion tracking (calls, forms, scheduler clicks) + reporting
Provide budget recommendations based on goals and performance
Collaboration + Delivery
Work inside our project management system (ClickUp) using tickets/tasks, due dates, and updates
Provide clear weekly progress notes + next steps
Coordinate with account manager/project manager so client communication stays clean
Required Skills & Experience
2–5+ years of SEO + Google Ads experience for local lead gen businesses (agency experience preferred)
Strong understanding of Local SEO and GBP optimization
Strong experience with Google Ads Search (not just brand campaigns)
Solid grasp of conversion tracking and attribution basics (GA4, Google Ads conversions, call tracking)
Comfortable working with WordPress (basic on-page edits; dev collaboration when needed)
Clear communicator — can explain what’s happening and what’s next without fluff
Nice to Have
Experience in dental, healthcare, home services, or other appointment-based businesses
Experience improving performance across multiple locations/services
Familiarity with call tracking platforms and CRM-based tracking
Experience creating SOPs or documenting repeatable processes
Tools We Use
Google Ads, GA4, Google Tag Manager, Search Console, WordPress, ClickUp, Google Drive (and other client-specific tools)

Part-time contractor to start (with the option to expand)
