we have a direct-to-consumer solid-wood furniture brand operating across the UK and US. We make heirloom pieces — the kind customers keep for decades — and we sell them online at a scale most luxury furniture brands can't match. We're looking for a Performance Max specialist who lives and breathes Google's ad stack and knows how to make PMax actually perform on a large, high-AOV catalogue. This isn't a generalist paid media role. We want someone who has wrestled PMax into submission for a furniture, home, or considered-purchase brand and has the account screenshots to prove it.What you'll ownYou'll take full ownership of our Google Ads account — PMax first, but also Shopping, Search, and YouTube where they support the machine. The catalogue is large and constantly evolving, which means feed quality, asset group structure, and signal strategy are where the work actually gets done.Specifically:– Architecting PMax campaigns the right way for a luxury furniture catalogue — asset group segmentation by category, margin, and AOV band, not lazy "one campaign for everything"
– Merchant Center and feed optimisation: titles, attributes, custom labels, supplemental feeds, GTIN hygiene
– Audience signal strategy: customer lists, first-party data, in-market, custom segments — feeding the algorithm the right priors
– Creative asset production workflow: briefing, testing, and rotating image/video assets at the pace PMax demands
– Bidding and budget strategy across tROAS targets, new customer acquisition goals, and seasonal peaks
– Search term insights, brand vs. non-brand separation, and negative strategy to stop PMax cannibalising organic and brand traffic
– Reporting that actually tells us something — asset-level performance, category-level ROAS, incrementality where possibleWhat we're looking for– 3+ years running Google Ads at scale, with at least 18 months deep in Performance Max
– Direct experience with large product catalogues (500+ SKUs) in furniture, home, luxury, or considered-purchase verticals
– High-AOV context matters — you understand why a £2,000 dining table behaves nothing like a £40 t-shirt in PMax
– Fluent with Google Merchant Center, feed management tools (GoDataFeed, Feedonomics, DataFeedWatch, or similar), and GA4
– Comfortable reading the signals PMax doesn't show you and building your own reporting layer
– Strong opinions on PMax vs. Standard Shopping, when to break PMax apart, and how to stop Google spending your budget badly
