JOB OVERVIEW

Read this entire post before you apply. There are specific instructions inside it. If you miss any of them, I will not read your application. That is deliberate — this job is largely about following technical specifications exactly.

WHO I AM
I run Grow With AI, a small US automation agency. We build AI receptionists, lead systems, and custom CRM work for small businesses in trades, legal, and services. I am the founder. Right now it is mostly me. I am hiring the person who becomes the technical half of this company.

WHAT THIS JOB ACTUALLY IS
This is not a GoHighLevel VA job. This is not "build me a funnel." You will:

- Connect GoHighLevel to anything — other CRMs, POS systems, databases, custom software — in both directions
- Work directly with the GHL v2 API, OAuth, webhooks, and Private Integration tokens
- Build custom dashboards and reporting that GHL cannot do natively
- Design and run databases (Supabase or similar)
- Build small custom apps and internal tools
- Own integrations end to end, including when they break

TOOLS YOU GET
You will have access to Claude Cowork and our AI tooling. I have no problem with you using AI to do the work — I use it constantly. What I care about is whether you can direct it, catch it when it is wrong, and fix what it breaks. If AI is doing the thinking for you instead of the typing, you will not get through my screening.

THE SCHEDULE — READ THIS TWICE
Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM US Central Time. In the Philippines that is a graveyard shift. Do not apply unless you are certain you can hold that schedule long term. I would rather you tell me no today than quit in month two.

PAY, HONESTLY
Starting: $500 USD per month, full-time, plus performance bonuses.

I know that is under market for this skill set, so here is the real deal.

At six months, if the work has been what I need, the base moves to $900-$1,000. That review is a commitment, not a maybe.

At twelve months, if you have stayed with me through the build and the company is where I expect it to be, you are looking at roughly three times what you started on — and it keeps climbing from there. I am not going to pretend that number is guaranteed, because it depends on us growing. What I will tell you is that it is the trajectory I am building toward, and the person in this seat is the person who gets carried by it.

I am early, and I am telling you exactly where I stand. If you need $1,200 today, we are not a fit and I respect that.

SUBJECT LINE
The subject line of your application must be exactly:

GHL-BUILDER-2026 - FLAMINGO - [your first name]

Yes, flamingo. Type it exactly. Applications with any other subject line are deleted unread.

WHO I AM LOOKING FOR
Reliability and trustworthiness above everything else. You will have access to client systems and client data. I need someone who says what they will do, does it, and tells me early when something is going wrong. I am not looking for someone who goes quiet for three days and then sends an excuse.

DO NOT SEND FILES
Do not attach a resume, CV, or portfolio document. Anyone who attaches a file is removed immediately. Instead, paste five bullet points into the body of your message describing the five most technical things you have personally built.

HOW TO APPLY
Begin your message with the single word: Compass

Then answer these five questions, numbered, in this exact order:

1. Describe a system you personally connected to GoHighLevel. What was on the other end, which direction did data flow, and what broke?
2. You are syncing contacts two ways between GHL and another CRM. Both fire a webhook on update. How do you stop the infinite loop?
3. A client wants reporting GHL cannot do natively. Describe how you would build them a custom dashboard, including where the data lives.
4. Tell me about a time AI gave you a confidently wrong answer, and how you caught it.
5. When it is 9:00 AM in Chicago, what time and what date is it where you are?

Your entire application must be under 250 words, not counting the five bullets. I am testing whether you can be brief and precise.

WHAT HAPPENS NEXT
If you pass this stage: a short screen-recorded technical exercise, then a paid trial project ($25 USD, roughly 3 hours, paid whether or not you advance), then a live interview at 9:00 AM Central. I will tell you either way. I will not waste your time.
