JOB OVERVIEW

GEOLOGIST / GEOLOGICAL ENGINEER (OFF-SITE / REMOTE)
(ca. 32-40 hrs/week)

Geoprofile Ltd. is a small and fast-growing geotechnical company, operating in Switzerland, Liechtenstein and near-border zones of surrounding countries. We provide information about the subsoil and develop solutions for various geotechnical problems. We focus on the design, dimensioning and control of shallow and deep foundations, and construction pit excavations.
We are currently seeking a motivated and proactive Geologist / Geological Engineer to join our team in a fully remote position. In this role, you will support our ground investigation team in data processing, analysis, and interpretation.

Your tasks include:
- Data processing and interpretation of cone penetration test (CPT) and dynamic probing (DPSH) results, primarily using Excel, with future development toward programming-based workflows (Python)
- Data quality control (data error detection, monitoring of zero values and calibration files, verification of field-measured coordinates)
- Daily coordination with other remote team members and project managers via Teams for task assignment and feedback
- Quarterly preparation of project statistics (project costs and field team efficiency)

Your profile:
- Degree in Earth Sciences, Geology, or Geological Engineering
- Preferably experience with loose (unconsolidated) soils, soil mechanics, geomorphology, and
sedimentology
- Strong command of English (written and spoken)
- Experience with CPT and DPSH data interpretation is an advantage (training will be provided)
- Experience in programming, coding, or scripting (preferably Python) is highly valued
- Strong motivation to further develop programming skills
- Ability to work independently, manage your own schedule, and prioritize tasks reliably
