Build the "Trojan Doctor" Engine
About the Role
We are not looking for a ticket-closer or a task-taker.
We are looking for a Partner in Logic.
This role sits at the core of a revenue?driving, HIPAA?aware SaaS platform used by busy doctors and clinical partners. Clean architecture, predictable data flows, and operational reliability are non?negotiable. Glitches cost real money and real trust.
You will own the system design, execution, and durability of a complex GoHighLevel + Shopify ecosystem that integrates onboarding, automation, reviews, affiliate logic, and revenue attribution.

Core Responsibilities
Architect and maintain a scalable GoHighLevel + Shopify backend system
Design robust API and webhook flows (Shopify, GHL, third?party tools)
Own automation logic across onboarding, CRM, reviews, affiliate tracking, and reporting
Implement error handling, alerts, and monitoring (you get notified before the founder does)
Ensure systems are HIPAA?aware in structure, data handling, and access control
Translate business goals into durable technical architecture
Continuously harden systems against edge cases, failures, and scaling issues

Deep understanding of API limitations, rate limits, and failure modes
You architect systems — you don’t just "zap" tools together
Comfortable designing retry logic, fallbacks, and data validation layers

Able to explain complex technical constraints to a non?technical founder
Communicates clearly, directly, and without condescension
Documents logic and decisions so systems are understandable, not mysterious
E — Engagement
You own outcomes, not just tasks
If a Shopify webhook fails, you receive the alert
You proactively improve reliability instead of waiting for problems to surface

Required Experience
Advanced experience with GoHighLevel (GHL) architecture and automation
Strong Shopify API & webhook integration experience
Proven history of building or maintaining complex, multi?system workflows
Experience with SaaS platforms serving healthcare or regulated industries (HIPAA?aware)
Strong debugging, monitoring, and systems?thinking mindset

Nice?to?Have
Experience with affiliate tracking systems and attribution logic
Familiarity with HIPAA?safe design patterns (even if not formally certified)
Experience supporting revenue?critical systems at scale
Prior work as a systems architect or technical lead
