The job:
- First app live on the App Store and Play Store within 4–6 weeks. Lean v1, not perfect.
- 3–4 apps total, plus a shared foundation (auth, paywall, analytics, AI layer) so app #3 ships 3x faster than app #1
- Weekly releases on whatever is currently winning
- Simple landing page and web funnel per app
I handle distribution: research, positioning, TikTok/UGC, paid ads, ASO, monetization calls. You handle everything technical. We launch 3–4 consumer AI/camera apps on both stores over the next 9 months, kill what doesn't work, and scale what does.
Must-haves
- Shipped consumer apps that strangers paid for — store links, not client work or demos
- You ship both platforms yourself. Tell me how you'd do it: RN/Expo or Flutter with native modules, or two native codebases, and why.
- Real camera and vision work: AVFoundation/Vision/Core ML on iOS, CameraX/ML Kit on Android, real-time overlays
- RevenueCat/StoreKit 2 and Play Billing, paywall A/B testing, trial and pricing experiments
Attribution and event analytics set up solo (AdAttributionKit, AppsFlyer/Branch, PostHog/Amplitude)
- Supabase/Firebase plus AI APIs (OpenAI, Gemini, Replicate, fal) with real per-user cost control
- Fast with AI coding tools, and the judgment to know when to drop them
- Been through App Review and Play Console review — you know the AI-content and subscription traps on both
Full-time, with overlap with CET
Nice to have: on-device pose/face estimation, referral and share-card mechanics, Android device-fragmentation experience.
Not a fit if you need a spec before you start, you're juggling other clients, you've only built prototypes, or you're iOS-only.
To apply — skip the cover letter, send:
1) 2–3 live store links (ideally both platforms), and exactly what you did on each
2) Your fastest zero-to-approval time
3) Your best paywall or onboarding conversion result, with the number
4) How you'd ship this in 4 weeks on both stores: a camera app with a live pose overlay and coaching cues. Your stack, what you cut from v1, what worries you most.
5) Your rate and availability
