Full-Time Mechanical Design / Product Development Assistant – Agricultural Equipment

We’re a U.S.-based metal fabrication company that designs and builds agricultural equipment like overhead feed bins, cattle feeders, hay haulers, agricultural sprayers, and other farm and ranch products.

We’re looking for a full-time tea ---------- mber in the Philippines with an engineering or mechanical design background to help with product design, drafting, research, and development of new agricultural products.

You’ll work directly with the owner, who has a lot of hands-on experience in agricultural equipment manufacturing. You don’t need to be a licensed engineer, but you should be detail-oriented, mechanically minded, and able to turn ideas, sketches, photos, and verbal instructions into useful drawings, product concepts, and fabrication-ready designs.

Responsibilities:

* Create and update 2D and 3D drawings for metal fabrication products
* Help design agricultural equipment such as feed bins, sprayers, hay haulers, cattle feeders, and related products
* Turn rough sketches, measurements, photos, and verbal instructions into clear design drawings
* Help improve existing products for strength, functionality, manufacturability, and cost efficiency
* Research competing agricultural products and suggest design improvements
* Assist with product development, prototyping, and documentation
* Prepare drawings, cut lists, parts lists, and basic fabrication notes when needed
* Communicate regularly with the owner and production team
* Help organize product files, measurements, revisions, and design notes

Ideal Candidate:

* Background in mechanical engineering, agricultural engineering, drafting, CAD design, or metal fabrication design
* Experience with SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Fusion 360, Inventor, SketchUp, or similar design software
* Good understanding of steel, welding, fabrication, mechanical parts, tanks, frames, brackets, hoppers, trailers, sprayers, or farm equipment
* Able to follow instructions carefully and ask thoughtful questions
* Strong attention to detail
* Comfortable taking rough ideas and turning them into practical designs
* Reliable, honest, and interested in a long-term full-time role
* Good written English communication skills

Experience with any of the following is a plus:

* Agricultural equipment
* Sheet metal design
* Structural steel design
* Trailer design
* Tanks, hoppers, bins, conveyors, sprayers, or feeders
* Hydraulic, pump, plumbing, or spray system layouts
* Creating bill of materials
* Preparing drawings for fabrication or CNC cutting

Work Schedule:

This is a full-time position, 40 hours per week. Some overlap with U.S. business hours would be helpful for meetings and communication.
