Job Type: Full-Time
Work Hours: 8 am to 4 pm Central Time (9 pm to 5 am Philippine Time)
Salary: $1000 +shift differential +benefits

Are you one of those unique accountants that likes the 'clean-up' a messy balance sheet or help build processes from scratch? We are professional services company in the healthcare industry. We are currently growing our accounting services line quickly and need a full-time experienced accountant to assist in accounting and controllership functions. You will be working on a number of entities (clients) depending on the volume.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implementation of accounting software.
- Leading desktop valuation projects - obtaining asset lists from clients and performing the valuation research.
- Preparing valuation reports.
- Bank and balance sheet reconciliations - monthly reconciliations are required. And many of our clients choose us because they aren't where they need to be. You'll need to be comfortable spending some time to figure out what the process is that will help us fix any recon issues.
- Monthly closing - We target closing the books upon reconciliation and all entries made within 7 days of the month-end.
- Monthly reporting - Accountant will distribute monthly reports (Balance Sheet / Income Statements / A/R / Segment Reporting and Consolidated Reporting).
- Calculating G/L entries and accruals - Each G/L account has its own controls and SOPs. Our accountants learn each, track historical trends, calculate and enter journal entries.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
- Experience with implementing software is a plus.
- Experience with valuations is a plus.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Strong written and oral English communication.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- 3-5 years of experience in accounting.
Our clients are generally on specialized healthcare accounting softwares (CPSI, Paragon, Meditech). You've probably never heard of those, don't be too intimidated - they're just big databases. If you have heard of those, please mention it...big bonus points. Healthcare organizations use specialized systems that run their revenue and insurance operations as general ledgers since that's the largest part of their business.
There will be a lot of opportunity to grow. We're building this process quickly and the demand is high. If you want to be a team lead or specialize in certain accounting areas - we'll develop training programs that allow you to build your skillset.
