JOB OVERVIEW

We are an Australian business looking for a reliable, experienced WordPress and Shopify Website Specialist to join our team full time.

This is a long term position for someone who wants to work directly with one company rather than manage multiple freelance clients.

You will be responsible for helping manage and improve several of our websites across different parts of the business, including corporate websites, ecommerce, software and digital signage.

What You Will Be Doing - Your main responsibilities will include:
• Managing and updating multiple WordPress websites
• Managing and updating our Shopify ecommerce website
• Creating and editing website pages
• Updating products, content, images and website sections
• Making layout and design changes within existing themes and page builders
• Maintaining website content and keeping information up to date
• Reviewing websites for errors, broken links and general issues
• Uploading and formatting articles and other content
• Performing basic on page SEO work
• Updating page titles, meta descriptions, headings, internal links and website content
• Helping improve existing pages based on SEO recommendations
• Reviewing website content before it is published
• Using Google Analytics, Search Console and other tools to understand website performance
• Monitoring competitors and identifying ideas or opportunities we could implement
• Supporting the team with ongoing website improvements
• Using AI tools to help with research, content, website management and repetitive tasks

Over time, there may also be opportunities to help us improve internal workflows and introduce more AI and automation across the business.

You will not be expected to solve complex development problems alone. We have access to developers for larger technical issues.

What We Are Looking For
You should have:
• At least 2 years of hands on WordPress experience
• At least 2 years of Shopify experience, or strong practical Shopify experience
• Experience actually managing websites, not simply uploading blog posts
• Ability to create, edit and update pages independently
• Basic understanding of SEO
• Strong written and spoken English
• Excellent attention to detail
• Ability to proofread content and identify obvious mistakes before publishing
• Good problem solving skills
• Ability to follow documented processes and checklists
• Confidence learning new software and AI tools
• Reliable internet connection and your own computer
• Ability to work independently and communicate clearly with our Australian team

Experience with any of the following would be an advantage:
• Google Analytics 4
• Google Search Console
• Google Merchant Center
• Ecommerce SEO
• Product feeds
• Basic HTML or CSS
• Canva or basic image editing
• ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini or other AI tools
• CRM or marketing automation platforms

Hours - This is a full time role of 40 hours per week.

We are specifically looking for someone who can treat this as their primary full time position.
Please do not apply if you are currently managing several other full time clients or intend to outsource the work to another person or team. We want to work directly with the person completing the work.

Salary
We are open to discussing salary based on your experience and capabilities.
For the right person, we expect the role to be around 70,000 PHP - 100,000 PHP per month, depending on experience.

There is room for the role and compensation to grow as you become more involved in the business.

We are looking for someone who can eventually take ownership of the day to day management of our websites.
That means we should be able to give you a task such as:
“Update this page.”
“Add these new products.”
“Improve the SEO on these pages.”
“Review what our competitors are doing.”
“Create this new website section.”
and trust that you can work through it carefully, ask questions when necessary and bring the task through to completion.
We value reliability, initiative and attention to detail more than someone who claims to know every tool.
