About us:
Our client is a group of businesses working across a range of sectors, providing variety to the work. We make a lot of video, and we need it to perform.
You'll be their dedicated editor, working across several brands and formats, so no two weeks will look the same.
This is a long-term, full-time role. We want someone who'll grow with us, not a short-term gig.
What you'll do:
Edit short-form content for TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts and LinkedIn
Edit long-form content for YouTube, podcasts, webinars, interviews and brand films
Cut long-form content down into strong short-form clips
Build hooks that stop the scroll in the first 1 to 3 seconds and keep people watching to the end
Add the elements that make a video engaging: captions, motion graphics, B-roll, zooms, sound design, music, text overlays, transitions and emojis where they fit the brand
Work from written and video briefs, ask good questions when something's unclear, and deliver what the brief asks for
Take feedback and turn revisions around quickly
Test AI tools and bring them into our workflow to make us faster and better
Keep project files, assets and exports organised so anyone on the team can find things
What we're looking for:
At least 2 years of professional video editing, with work you can show us
Both short-form and long-form experience. We need you comfortable with a 30-second Reel and a 45-minute YouTube video.
A real understanding of social platforms. You know why some videos get watched and others get skipped, and you edit with retention, pacing and hooks in mind.
Great written and spoken English. You'll get briefs in writing and talk to the team every day on Slack. Understanding the brief properly matters as much as the edit itself.
Curiosity about AI. Tell us about tools like Descript, Opus Clip, Runway, ElevenLabs, Topaz, Adobe Firefly or anything else you've tried in a real project.
A genuine love of the craft. You watch content and pull it apart. You care about the frame-by-frame details and you get excited when a video performs.
Reliability. Consistent hours, clear updates, and you hit your deadlines.
Nice to have:
Experience editing paid social ads (UGC style, direct response)
Thumbnail design
Colour grading and audio clean-up
Experience reading performance data (watch time, retention graphs, hook rate)
Experience working across several brands at once
Setup you'll need:
A computer that handles 4K editing smoothly
Stable internet (at least 25 Mbps upload is ideal for sending files)
A backup plan for power and internet outages (UPS, power bank, mobile data or a generator)
Your own licensed editing software, or tell us what you'd need
How we work:
The whole team is on Slack. You'll get briefs, share drafts and get feedback there.
You'll get a clear brief for every project, and we expect you to ask questions when you need to
We have a short check-in at the start of each day and a quick end-of-day update on Slack
What we offer:
A stable full-time, long-term role
Varied work across several brands, so you won't get bored
HOW TO APPLY (please read carefully)
We get a lot of applications. If you don't follow these steps, we won't be able to review yours.
In your application, include these 7 things, numbered 1 to 7:
Portfolio links. At least 3 short-form videos and 2 long-form videos you edited. Links to YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, Google Drive or a portfolio site are fine. Make sure the links are public and viewable.
For each link, one line on what you did (full edit, captions only, motion graphics and so on) and any results you know of (views, retention, client feedback).
Your favourite piece from your portfolio, and in 2 to 3 sentences, why it worked.
A short Loom or voice recording (2 minutes maximum) introducing yourself and telling us why you love editing. This is how we check your communication, so no scripts, just talk to us.
Which AI tools you use in your editing workflow, and one example of how an AI tool saved you time or improved a video.
Your editing software, and your computer and internet specs.
Your availability. When can you start, and can you work [required hours/time zone]?
Our process:
We review applications and shortlist
A short video call
A paid test edit (we send you raw footage and a brief)

We're excited to see your work.
